Jason what do you think about Mod2 firmware with the 5700?

I think the MOD2 would be fine with the 5700. With that being said, I have only run STO1 due to pushing the limits for durability testing. I would just start with lower DMTS settings and work your way up, keeping an eye on temps and performance.

Ok I just updated the latest PC interface for reventon esc. It states latest pro stock v22, when I looked for it in the interface I didn't see it is there any reason it doesn't show should I uninstall it and re install it.

One more thing will mod2 ever be available for reventon r

No need to go dropping so much on an ESC. I went from RS Pros across all my cars to the Reventon Pro 1.1 and I couldn't be happier. GREAT product at a superb price and SP fully make the effort support Apple iOS devices which is a Yooooj plus.

I go way back with Tekin more than 25 years to their first incarnation when they changed the whole game with their innovations (still have my 411P which was the first ESC to divert energy that was otherwise expelled/wasted under braking, back to the battery to help you make the full 4 minute main which was a struggle back then) but their products today are a bit overpriced for what you get, considering companies like SPeed Passion are producing competing products that are every bit as good at a fraction of the cost. Don't buy into the hype. Tekin is great, but I can attest to the Reventon Pro 1.1 being every bit as good and it's a COMPLETE system, programming box and all at no additional cost.

At some point SP is going to have to start paying me out of guilt. LOL

Also, for all things Speed Passion check out www.expressrchobbies.com and tell them Robert Rivera recommended you!

I've been using SP speed controls and motors for around 6+ years. Off and on I would put a Tekin speed control in my car. speed Passion was always so much smoother. I have people amazed how smooth my e-buggy is running sensorless. I never plan to use another brand.

Well hello Steve Walters!! Been a while my friend... But I'm with you guys.. I ran for Tekin for a lot of years, onroad mainly, and was very happy but the cost was more than I cd bare as things moved to the brushless realm. Coming back into racing thru the off road game.... after a few years off. I have to say the smoothness and tunability of the SP Reventon Pro is far superior in my opinion... AND you get those tools at no additional cost as well as a FRACTION of the latest and greatest Tekin.
You'll find the support for Speed passion is top notch also... You can get on Speedpower and speak directly to someone directly thru chat if you have any questions. And Any of us Team Guys are a message away.:tire:

4600??

Hey Jason what do you think maybe having a 4600 in the box for smaller tracks... still using Mod2? Makes sense to me but I dont have much experience with the 4x4 motors... Thx man!

Honestly I don't have experience with the 4600. I did run my 5700 on big and small tracks (because it's all that there was at the time). I believe MOD2 would work for most 2pole motors, especially ours, if you aren't looking to boost. The thing to keep in mind with our 4600 is now you're down in the same RPM class as the other SCT motors, so boosting is probably the advantage you'd look for. Another advantage is we can run our motors on a Reventon, smaller footprint, less weight, and smoother than an 1/8th ESC.

I haven't run SCT for almost a year now so I'm not sure what the status is on our ESC's and 4pole motors. Before using Speed Passion and eventually joining the team, I ran a 4pole 550 with a Tekin RX8. I feel that these 4pole motors are really overkill for SCT trucks. Even with a SCTE, there wasn't any obstacle that my 2pole 550 couldn't handle.

In my honest opinion, and not reflecting of others, I think 4pole motors are power sucking, heat generating, torque monsters that burn up batteries and tires. Those additional expenses to me are not worth it.

I'm going to run the 5700 for the first time this weekend. I want to get a 4600 also. I entered 4w SC at AMS. So I figured I better hit the track.

Jason I have to agree.. The RX8 is just too too much. Ill stick with ours any day. Howard did say they are working on something to replace the Silver Arrow but it will still be a 4 cell ESC for 4 pole motors. So If the RVPro 1.1 runs it.... with no issues.... I am down!!!!

And Steve.. please PM me and let me know what ya find out after running this weekend if ya wouldn't mind. Thx Guys!

How long Howard until we see the Reventon 8?

Hey guys, I'm racing a Reventon Pro 1.1 with a BLAZE 5700. In my TLR SCTE-TEN 2.0. At the same tracks as J Pietsch races at. I had Tekin RX8 with HD 4600. I like the Speed Passion ESC/motor better. Much smoother throttle with the Speed Passion. I'm running the modify 2 in my Reventon Pro 1.1

What gearing are you running in your TLR? I figured to start with 12p with stock gear. Will start low on the timing in Mod2.

I'm running a 14 tooth pinion with stock spur gear.

Speed Passion Silver Arrow

Is this a good reliable ESC for 1/8 scale buggy? Opinions from folks that have used it would be great.
