What issues?:weird:
Speedo will be fine.

You just can't run esc timing with a 4 pole motor on stock 1 profile.

The wifi box for the reventon to be programmed from an iPhone/iPod/iPad is designed to be attached to the chassis & stay in the buggy, correct?

Is the cable for the wifi long enough to allow it to be mounted on the other side of a buggy next to the receiver?

Either 2 GT2.0 Pros or 2 Reventon Pros. Make sure you do NOT run any timing / boost with the Reventon Pro and the Tekin 4 Pole.

I run all GT2.0 Pros exclusively right now in my offroad vehicles including the Tekno SCT410, they work excellent. (correction, 1/8 buggy gets the Silver arrow V2 ESC)

Thanks guys
Anymore input on moving from a Tekin rs for 17.5 in 2wd sct and Tekin rx8 in 4x4 is appreciated. Looking to move on this within the week. Is the esc programming the boost and timing anything like the Tekin? I am really looking for a esc to tweak for performance as our 2wd 17.5 class is very competitive.

Hi,

Running GT2.0 LPF with 8.5T SP BL (with not much experience.)
It happened now that after 1 minute use (no overheat) the ESC not power the motor at all. Servo function OK, and with other ESC the motor also running well. ESC LED's are operating and reacting prefectly to recalibration with receiver. But after certain time green and red led's are flushing up together frequently.

Thanks for any feedback what can be wrong and if it can be fixed?

I have the reventon R and I find the settings for boost and turbo lack compared to the tekin and even the gt2.1. They are very good escs, and very smooth just personally don't like the user interface and lack of custom settings. Now the gt series is a whole nother beast with setting options. Either of them will def be fast and smooth though.

Stock 1 has just as many settings as a tekin. I have a 10.5 that is faster on top end than a 8.5 and still smoother on bottom.

I agree the interface is just different but the settings are all there. I just moved from Tekin RS Pro to Speed Passion Reventon Pro. The Speed Passion is smoother on the throttle and way better brakes.

I have a revention pro and for some reason cannot get it to upload software. I dont know if its something im doing wrong or if theres an issue with the esc? I need to change something cause it just has no power, i've got it in a 2wd buggy and currently have geared all the way to a 30/80 and it is just lazy and slow. I've tried 3 different motors (7.5sp, 8.5 d3, 10.5 sp) and after a 10 min run motor temps have only been around 90-95 degrees F. I am hoping that maybe if i can just update the software from out of the box that it will act correctly but i've tried hooking it up on 2 different computers and it will not recognise that its hooked up.

Did you install the USB drivers for the programming card then install the ESC software? Then plug in the program card and then the esc. Also make sure your battery is NOT connected to the ESC.

I went on speed passions web site and downloaded the software, after installing it on the pc I clicked on it to bring up the page that has the big SP shield and says connect to esc. Then with the USB plugged into the pc and the program card I then plugged the program card into the esc and the esc powers up and the box as if to program the settings on the esc but PC never recognizes it. The pc does recognize that something is plugged, but it never connects to the esc?

The software you downloaded, when you opened the file did you click the setup.exe file on the bottom to install software? that is the software for the system. You will also need to open SpUsbDriver6.6 file then install the SpUsbInstaller.exe file, if you didn't do this last step the computer will not see the esc.

Does the programming card connect and work with the esc without hooking to your computer?

Yes I can set the speedo settings, but no matter what I do it's just slow. Started with a 20t pinion in a buggy and went up 2 teeth at a time up to 30 and now will need to grind to get more gear on it and it gets better with more gear but I don't think it should have that much with timing all the way up to 26 and a 7.5? Ill try and reinstall the software the way you described and try that. Thanks

I'm new to speed passion (ill get to that next post), but I have a suggestion. Check your transmitter to see if the throttle is in reverse or regular mode. If you have a futaba it should be in reverse, if you have any other brand it should be normal. If your throttle does not match that, make it match & look at your motor wires. Two of the wires have been swapped & the esc thinks the motor is in reverse when you go forward. After you correct the wires you will need to re-calibrate the esc to the transmitter. I have run across this happening with a few other brand esc's.

Also, 30/80 seems a rather odd ratio for your gearing. I don't know what buggy you are running, but 22-24 pinion & 75-78 spur should have you tearing down the straights with an 8.5t motor if it's a b4.
