High traction, clay, somewhat small with one moderate straight.

Once I free up some money, I'll likely pick up the new reventon. So for 4mod, obviously the pro, but what do people like for 17.5?

You could try loading 428 mod. I've used it in the past w/8.5 with good results.

you can play with the DRRS (punch) and other settings at will to see if you can tweak it a bit for a feel you like best. the factory firmware should be 205mod and will work great for that car with minor adjusting. You could try other firmware as well. There are some driver setups to get some ideas from on the website. you can copy one of those and then adjust settings for personal preference as well. I would probably say to gear it around 21/81 for a smaller track.

Looking for something cheap and equal to run with a group of mates for some fun.

Yes to brushless and yes to lipo for all Speed Passion. Lipo mode can be turned on or off, and adjusted.

The early 1/10 scale GT V1.x speed controls could also run brushed motors. Now everything is only brushless. All SP motors are brushless.

Just got done installing a GT2.0 Pro in my new Losi 22sct with an LRP 10.5.

I updated to 428 Mod Software

I have been running 328 Stock in my SCTE 4pole and my SC10 17.5 and it feels great but figured a 10.5 is a mod motor so I opted for the Mod software.

IS the only difference in between Mod and Stock software the default values?

DaveG28 10-02-2012 10:12 AM

Hi guys,

Sorry if I missed an answer to this, but can the reventon pro be used in stock classes, does it have a blinky mode etc?

Cain 10-02-2012 10:13 AM

the 4 Pole stuff we use in 4x4 SCT sure ain't stock LOL. I run the 428 STOCK in my 4x4 SCT. Curious as well what is the difference between the two as well.

Mundy1 10-02-2012 10:28 AM

Cain, do you remove all the default boost and turbo that the stock software has?

I run 0 turbo and 5 boost for the Hobbywing motor and 0 turbo 10 boost for the Tekin Pro4.

I also turn the DDSS(punch) down to 5 or 7 depending on the track.

Cain 10-02-2012 10:33 AM

yup. I turned everything basically off or to a really low setting. No boost which if I recall correctly is timing throughout the whole RPM range, etc. I used about 5 - 10 degrees of turbo starting at I think 3000 RPM or whatever was factory default. The Pro 4 really didn't need much more than that and was very fast with lots of power.

I also run a lower DRRS setting too, I think it was 6 or 7. I tried 9 but it seemed to use more juice for little benefit.

Although you are turning everything low or off, 428 mod software is still a advancing software. It will run more agressive than say 205 mod profile. I wouldnt run 428 stock in 4x4 SCT.

Reventon Pro, does run a blinky softawre "Stock0".

Yes, but you must load it onto speedo through the included LCD card and laptop with the Reventon Interface prog..

Here's a pic of mine in my DEX210.

The boost I do run is because I ran an RX8 with the pro4 for almost a year before putting in the GT2.0 Pro.
The only change I made was ESC and it felt slower. So I added some timing and it really woke up. I think its smoother with the GT 2.0 Pro and with the added timming just as fast and runs about the same temps as it did with the RX8.

The Hobbywing did not feel as flat as the Pro4 did but 5 on the boost makes a noticeable difference. I think I could add more timing to the Hobbywing and still have safe temps but its faster than the Pro4 so why push it.

But what software level was the GT 2.0 on when changing from the RX8?

Mundy1 10-02-2012 10:53 AM

328 Stock is the software that the GT2.0 Pro was running

So there is more difference to 428 Mod and Stock than just the default profiles?

The other software always had different numbers so I figured they were different.

205 is too slow here. tried it, didn't like it as I had to gear up too much which then caused the motor to get hotter than I liked.

I'll give 428 Mod a look and see how it feels. I went 428 stock though since 323 stock was recommended previously when I asked and one of the setups, well, probably like theonly one for SCT 4x4 uses 323 stock (memory here, could be wrong).

So, am I correct in assuming then that 428 Mod is less aggressive in comparison to stock?
