I asked a similar question on the UK oOple web forum !
I received a reply from Sp Tech !!!

Many of our top drivers use the stock capacitor. If you want something better you can purchase the optional capacitor. It offers better overall performance in terms of running cooler, brakes, and other ESC functions.

Ok thanks. I have been messing with 69/70/72 spurs but not a 75 yet.

I just wanted to see what others were using.

Im also wondering.. last season i ran a gt2.1 prostock. Is this retention line a upgrade or just updated software more ??

clintscreations 10-26-2012 07:05 AM

its a new line of speed controllers

AlanHall 10-26-2012 07:12 AM

Of course. Im just curious if its just something new. Or will be a upgrade/replacement for lets say the gt2.1 . Because i notice they are on sale. Which retention would be a replacement for the gt2.1

I can say this. I own both atm and run the Rev Pro in 2wd buggy and the gt2.1 in sct. I will/did order another Rev Pro for my sct. It's just that much smoother. Love them. Dont get me wrong, gt2.1 is awesome too just love the new esc more.
