They did indeed warranty the capacitor. Sent me a new pair within days!! ESC was not damaged. Look for the black line on the side. It should be closer to the black wire than the red.

i ran the reventon pro esc with a reedy 4.5 550 motor and it stayed nice and cool.

here's the downside:
after a rough landing with my sc10 4 x4, the bottom half of the case(plastic) literally shattered into pieces.

I'm gonna send in what's left for service and see what the warranty would cover.

I'll keep everyone posted

sorry to hear that.

What were you running for ESC software and settings?

so going to run my new Revention Pro tonight at practice. Running a Tekin Gen2 6.5 in 4wd buggy. I need to cut the temp sensor wire from the sensor harness correct?

I think ROAR has a schematic in the rule book on the sensor connector, I can locate and cut it.

Thanks.

Turbo is at full throttle. So the timing you put in will only be felt at full throttle.
The turbo slope is how hast the turbo timing kicks in. At the higher numbers and "fastest" it will kick in hard when you get to full throttle. So with a mod buggy and lots of turbo timing and a higher setting you will probably pull a big wheelie halfway down the straightaway. Less timing or less aggressive slope will kick in but not be so aggressive.
It's as simple as that.

So, any other recommendation would be apprciated before I send this in.

Thanks
Anyone before I send it in to speed passion to be looked at?

Took it off the track and checked things and pulled the throttle and it seemed to run fine. Did a couple more laps and it went into limp mode again.

Battery pack was charged but I tried a different one to make sure and it did the same thing with that pack. The batteries are GenAce 30C 4000 mah 7.4V.

I have a programming card on the way and was wondering if there is a setting that needs to be adjusted. I got the speed control used and all I could do is program it to my throttle.

Please help?
Here was the original problem.

OK....typical sensor (less) mode problem...

(1) Turn off lipo cutoff feature and give that a try
(2) Turn off thermal protection and give that a try
(3) change motor sensor cable...get a new one
(4) Check the motor sensor board (what motor was that..) Change another motor and try
(5) Bump the DRRS to 9 and give that a try

If none of the above work...the sensor port on the ESC failed...ESC is probably un-fixable or actually it cost too much to fix it, then buying a new one.

Lipo cutoff was set at 2.6v and I did try the DRRS at 6 and 9. I did not turn off the lipo or the thermal.

I do know when I used the same sensor wire and changed from the Speed Passion ESC to my old Novak Havoc that I did not have this problem. Bad thing is the Novak doesn't have the punch that this one does.

The motor is an Orion 17.5t VST.
