it's somewhere between half the run and the end. it never shuts off in the first few minutes. you have to turn it back on, it doesn't come back on by itself. i've temped the motor and speedo after it finished a full run and nothings getting hot. i'm going to try a different motor but i'm sure it's the speedo, i just thought there might be a software upgrade or something i could do. it may be the built in switch. the cirtix i have will shut down but not off after the battery or temp goes off the chart, but is still on.

Every once in a while I see combo deals from rc mart on xerun 2.1 with speed passion motors or reventon pros with speed passion motors. I'm thinking of getting a combo with an 8.5 motor for a 2wd short course. Any thoughts ?

My preferred combos have been Orion or Tekin escs paired with Tekin or trinity motors. Hence I'm hoping to save some money and am wondering if I'd be giving up anything in anyone's experience.

any ideas on what it could be? i've ran it inn two different cars but with the same motor(novak ballistic 6.5).
When this is happening the temp wire in the sensor wire has to be disconnected. With some motors that aren't speed passion motors the temp reading wires don't mix with the temp gauge in the motors so the speedo protects itself after a min or so of running. I have to do this with any motor I run that's not a speed passion.

I was going to post a video to show my problem with my reventon pro 1.1 but I can't seem to get it to work. A little history, I bought my first speedo motor combo about a month. My first speedo had a hesitation during initial throttle input (kind of like a cogging). I tried different motors, several sensor wires, changing from mod 2 to mod 1 software, and even different brand radio and receivers and nothing helped so I sent it back to get warrantied. I received my new one just in time for a long race weekend. What do you know the exact same result. I am baffled. I have a hard time believing that both of these are bad. I have reset my throttle points I don't know how many times and have played with my neutral point adjustments with the programming box thinking that was messing with it. Has anyone had similar issues?

Yes I have the exact same issue. Howard meet me at the local hobby shop to exchange the first one and when I got home and put the second one in the same problem. When I was at the track Saturday I could hear other reventon pro 1.1 on the track doing the same thing.

My Reventon pro V1.0 never had this problem so maybe its 1.1 specific?

I'm starting to think you are right. It's nice to hear there are others out there and this issue isn't isolated to me(not that I want others to have problems, but maybe there is a solution if enough people are having this problem).

Well let see, I have a stock citirx in my b4.1 with a 17.5 reedy motor and for some reason it is clogging real bad. changed sensor wire re-wired everything and even changed motors with the same issue.

Have a Reventon in my T4.2 and smoked the motor in it at a big race, friend lent me 10.5 reedy and I am having a issue where it wont even spin the motor. It has signal however the motor wont turn. going to purchase a Speed Passion motor and see if this changes anything.

Also had a reventon in my SC10 with a Trinty 3.5 13.5 motor and smoked both the motor and the speed control at the same big race I blew the stadium up. Don't no what the issue is temps and gearing were all within specs.

Where do you race in Illinois?

Not sure why you are having all these issues. There are a good number of guys running Speed Passion at Leisure Hours, Timewarp/Hobbytown Lake in the Hills, and Streamwood. Hopefully one of the local SP drivers can help you out on site.

So for clarification......

Can you make adjustments to the Rev Club stock via the computer (not changing the software, but rather fine tuning Blinky) or are you limited to only using the LED prog. Box?

For Blinky 17.5 on a GT2.0, which software version should I use?
