I am sorry about this happened....I must did that at 4am while watching the home shopping network all night...my bad...LOL

I want to know...when you mentioned it is OLD cap, what made you think it is the old design..? If the cap is wired incorrectly, please contact our office and we will send you a new replacement.

Again...only the CAP with the circuit board at the end is the one to use. For all Reventon S, R and PRO version.

i have 4 of these programmers from my rev pro's now.i had to by a orion box which was way to much money just to reverse motor.
Yeah, I know....and I am thinking about the LCD card trade in program now so that we can reuse these extra LCD card that our customer laying around.

I did not know that the VORTEX motor will have a SPEED PASSION warranty card inside...are you use..?

And no....Orion ESC is base from Hobbywing V3, totally different things compare to the Reventon PRO LCD card.

BTW...why do you need to reverse the motor rotataion...? Am I reading this correctly? Even on Durango 410 it does not need to reverse the rotation. I don't think there is a car in the market that required a motor rotation to be reverse except the home made RC car when mounting the motor the wrong side.

He didn't give me the programmer so I'm not sure what settings he has things on. Could it be something on the BEC circuit? The worst case is if it was something on the Circuit Board.

Does Speed Passion have a trade in program or a refurb program?
When your car suddenly losing speed...several things might happened.

(1)....sensor port on the ESC is demaged, all the timing are gone, when running sensorless, there are no timing added to the motor, hint the slow speed. Check again with a different motor and see that happen again or not.

(2) Sensor wire is bad...get a new one, even it looks new, it might be already demaged. Check the wire with different ESC and see that is the case.

(3) Sesnor unit inside the motor is demaged...check the motor with other ESc and see that is the case.

(4) Check the poles and wire connection from ESC to motor...one of them might be damaged or loose, re-solder if necessary.

Howard the Cap I received on my Rev Pro does not have a circuit board on it.

The cap I received is a single large round cap that reads F25V 2200uf.

It's completely round with no visible flat side or circuit board.

I take it that I should not continue to use this cap and contact you for a replacement???

in 1/8 electric, motor rotation reversing does take place at times, unless your diff cases allow you to flip there direction. (Hyper Star for one)

That's a real shame the ESC won't work with 4 pole motors. I hope that is something you can look into patching.

i think you meant by (use)sure? yes ,it was in all ready writting.ill post a pic.

i have the orion connected correctly,a-b-c and even if i reverse the radio.it will only stay in reverse.since im running sensored.i can not reverse the 2 outer motor wires.

after going thru the esc set up a million times, you must read the very small print. it states (set up items 10-15 can only be changed with a setting box).

and reverse rotation is item 12....

I'm guessing this is what the correct one should look like. My buddy sent me this pic if his Cap.

Mine does not look like this one.

But thats why our SILVER ARROW 2 does allow motor rotation reverse....I am only saying on all of the 1/10th car, they SHOULD NOT need the motor rotation reversed...I have some customer asked me but I just cannot answer but I don't see there is a need there.

I will try to post a picture of the cap with the board...it is exactly like the one above...

For the temporary fix, please use the cap from GT2 series ESC that has the circuit board on them.

The Orion Vortex 8 isn't V3 Hobbywing. I can see them getting it mixed up. I don't think HW even has V3 1/8 scale stuff yet.

Should have bought Speedpassion and saved a hundred bucks instead of paying the Orion Tax. lol
