Default Reventon R with Savox Servo

I am looking to upgrade my Losi 22 with a Reventon and a Savox SC-1257TG servo. I know the Savox are power hungry, so I'm asking here.

Does the Reventon R BEC have enough current capability to work well with the Savox servo on a Spektrum system or am I going to have to go with the Reventon Pro? I don't plan on running anything more than possibly a 7.5 in this buggy if that helps.

Did you trip your low voltage cutoff setting? What batteries are you using and what settings exactly?

I have a Reventon R with spektrum and savox and I needed a Glitch Buster... It is unfortunate that the bec on the Reventon seemed worse than alot of other escs I have used including Tekin. Its a Great ESC but with todays high draw servos you would think that would be a major focus point is the interal BEC. I would also believe the pro would suffer from the same problem but cannot confirm.

all the DSM ones like the SR300, SR3000, and SR3500 can have that issue, some less than others.

What battery?

My first impression would be that the battery you are using is tripping the cutoff value. 3.5V per cell seems a bit high for running in a 2wd buggy. In 1/8 electric I usually got 3.3V per cell on the high side.

In 1/10 2wd buggy I would probably do 3.2V per cell.

well I think I answered my own question. Looks like I tripped the cutoff voltage on my ESC at the last race. Seems it does the coast mode like castle ESCs do (or did, been awhile).
