I asked this question and was told to use this :
Many of our top drivers use the stock capacitor. If you want something better you can purchase the optional capacitor. It offers better overall performance in terms of running cooler, brakes, and other ESC functions.

Yes, it's on the esc between the RX and FAN Plugs, doubles as a Setup Button !!

I had the same issue just two days ago( first time I used it) the driver was not installed properly. I removed all the software and reinstalled it EXACTLY like the YouTube video by speed passion and it works fine now. Try removing and starting over. I spent hours trying to figure it out because everything " looked" right on the pc but for some reason it wasn't working .
Only problem I have now is the first time I went to use the Reventon Pro , I plugged the battery in about ten minutes before the race, and it fried just sitting there on the bench.??? It actually burned the positive terminal right off the circuit board for no apparent reason. I guess i will find out how thier warranty service is now. It went through the Calibration process and bench testing just fine so I don't know what happened. Anyone else have this problem.

I have a Reventon Pro that will not program from the card - when you have the program open on the PC and then the card plugged in to the USB and it says connect the ESC - then nothing happens - the PC program doesn't open up with the settings options.
It's not a PC or usb driver isssue because I have another Pro that programs perfectly - anyone had this problem - any help ??

OK....I think the newer generation motor do have motor temperature sensor built in, and we are working on having the REVENTON PRO to read the motor temp without cutting that wire. We will get that update...

(2) If thunderpower motor has temperature sensor built in...cut the 2nd wire on the sensor cable and that will stop the unexpected shut off issue.
(3) I too use Savox servo....if things get out of hand, get a glitch buster. So far, I have 3 cars using the SAVOX servo and REVENTON PRO and none of them need the glitch buster (I am using Futaba 3PKS)

ihad very similar and also now try the warranty avenue, i had battery and usb connected at one point couldn't get any connection that was first week i had it then i got wifi have had sucess on pc and also sucess on wifi with i phone, but just a couple of days ago ,i updated firmware at track and it come up "update failed now my speedy turns on and has nothing wont connect to anything cant even turn it off. i really liked the speedy and wifi stock 0 and stock 1 great changed it at least 10 times lol just for a quick turn.is there a way to reset esc itself cant even enter throttle range calibration i think it is wiped of its program any suggestions. but sadly no more until i find out about there warranty service how did you go with that? thanks shane
Now...the latest V21 software (on the website) should able to UNBRICK all the bricked ESC. Please uninstall the old version, and do a clean install...restart Window and give that a try.

My guess is you are not holding the button long enough to get into the setup mode....give it a try.
