It comes with a 12.3 rotor. If you feel you want more torque we offer a 12.5 high torque rotor (part number ends in BE11). That is the rotor we suggest for 17.5 as well.

Wondering the same thing. Got two new cars and maybe another soon to come. Loved my Viper escs but might have to see what else is out there.

Not at all.... just taking some time to develop new stuff. While some people are still learning about Viper -- we have been around for 5 years. We are the newest electronics company selling the oldest products. Even though we think the older product is still better than the "newer" stuff from others.

Its time for a little facelift. Some updates, some new ways of looking at things (as others are looking at how we do it). Keep your eyes open. Next Generation is in progress.

And yes, that means we have to sell out the old stuff, so we are out of some things right now. But the new stuff is being privately developed. Can't wait to show you the surprises...

BTW - our next generation 1/10 motor has been out since end of last year. And if you haven't tried it -- you should. Don't let all the hype some brands put out fool you. There are other capable motors our there!!! And check out the pricing!!!

On a very serious note, the current pricing of the black edition motors is insane. compared to the competition, it blows them away at price point and on the track. Don't be afraid to pick up a tuning rotor depending on vehicle or track size/traction. I prefer the 12.5 rotors in both mod and stock, but that's just me (I probably brake more than I should so I like some grunt)

I'm excited to hear that, I love my Viper stuff and I want to continue on using it.

The issue is finding them (for those who don't already have one)

Being that the VTX8 is discontinued, I was referring to vipers new line.
My post was inferring that the time to strike is now, since there are some new escs on the market.

This doesn't make sense, the VTX8 is discontinued and it's very hard to find one to buy, Viper haven't even released details of their new range of speedos. So how can the time strike be now? Viper don't have any speedos for sale!

The delay does make you wonder what has caused this, and to be honest afraid will they ever produce such quality products again. Has there been a change of ownership or change of factory?
I hope they get going again as I love my Viper speedos, I use them in 1/12th scale 1S and 1/10th off road and they've always been superb, easy to set up and so smooth but also fast.

So come on Viper, let's see you producing awesome speedos again.

You really don't understand what I meant by now it's the time to strike? Read the last line of your post....

What caused it seems to be a number of things.... Potential lawsuit from dodge?

Ah ok, guess my English is a bit different. That means something different this side of the pond.

It doesn't seem good, as Viper motor and esc accessories run out of stock there is no replenishment aka parts support as I see it. They have been out of stock on orange 12awg wire for 6 months (that's a common item, for example) 30 mm vans for the vtx8 you cant find one. just the hv is around with the wrong plug. Web site down for months.

I noticed a drop in price for black edition motors also...which is concerning. I saw this happen with team durango products right before they cut the team support and discontinued a few vehicles.

I love my viper electronics. Hope this is just a superficial bump in the road or a facelift.
