I love my viper electronics. Hope this is just a superficial bump in the road or a facelift.
I can promise you no one is turning off the lights or packing up...

I'm sure Nick will chime in.

After you change it you have to save it.

The load key will only load the current profile selection.

When making changes you need to use the save settings.

When you change the setting make sure you hit OKAY on that page instead of EXIT. If you hit EXIT, it will revert to your previous setting.

Can you explain your proccess from plugging in the pro-gauge or EZ-link on?

You need to click change setting, change the setting you would like, hit OK, then hit the save setting, unplug, and tap programming button.

hi all. can anyone help me decode what may be going on here, VTX10R BE with a Tekin 6.5 turn was running fine at first, then stopped in the middle of track. esc showing solid red light on the F and solid green on the N. cant access programming and the only way to turn it off is by unplugging the batteries/doesnt respond to any button/ez link inputs, except turning on. motor beeps twice turning on, then no throttle/no response. have tried sensor leads. any advice?

You might be in Radio Calibration mode.

Default How much timing?

Hey guys. I have a Tekno sct410 running a viper vf4.40 4 pole motor and want some more top end on the back straight. How much boost or esc timing can I add to this motor before the timing is no longer effective or it is detrimental to the motor or esc?

Depends on temps etc. You could try a tooth taller gearing and no timing, or try slowly increasing timing. Not much timing im sure, timing is a real heat builder

I'm only hitting 130 degrees after 8 minutes on the track, so I have some room to push it harder. I thought about going up a tooth on the pinion gear but I don't want to loose any out of the hole. I did go from 0 degrees to the tekin rx8 default of 3 degrees and there was a noticeable increase in the top end. I'm just not sure what is considered low or high timing. One of the default modes in the rx8 has somthing like 20 degrees of timing. Is that low or high?

Adding boost and timing is difficult with 4 pole motors as they are already tight on motor temperature so adding timing is tough. Not highly recommended. if you do - very little.

Huge shout out to Douglas Hobbs and Stephen Butler!!!

Stephen TQ the 17.5 Intermediate class at the J Concepts Indoor Nationals. Douglas would qualify second.

In the main, Douglas would get around Stephen on the first lap and take home the win.

Both were running Viper Black Edition 17.5 motors with BE11 High Torque rotors. These things are some of the fastest motors around and they only cost $65!!!
