What's everybody's take on exhaust gas coolers? And if you do run them do you just cut your 8" pressure line and install or do you trim the pressure line to say 6" and install the 2" cooler for a total length of 8"? Or are they a waste of money?

It will load up some after 20 seconds. But it will not flame after 20 sec.

Pretty much a waste a money if you ask me... Sure it will make your gas cooler but the effect on your run time will be very slime to none. One thing you can do if you really want to cool your gas is to put some insulating tape on your gas tank facing your pipe. I would probably try the tape first before spending 40ish $ on a exhaust gas cooler...

In my opinion, could be wrong, Sounds like idle gap could be too wide and lsn could be rich....

some fuels are very difficult to tune and some are easy

try leaning the lsn and shrinking idle gap , pretty typical this happens to guys tuning on nova carbs

If I may suggest. the plus-4 has a slightly touchy low speed needle, it does not take much to change the tune, very small adjustments compared to the top end. Take it slow and run it a little between adjustments.

Well it has been proven to extend runtimes with the on-road nitro engines in hot conditions. It does have its advantages, but is it worth the price? That's up to you. I bought two for both my 1/8 scales cuz of the reason stated above and they look cool.

I just installed the Super Blue Silicone medium sized fuel tubing, It's part number 222 on the top right of the card. Fits nice and tight over the nipples. Just measured some with the calipers and it is confirmed at 3/32"

+1
My plus 4 lsn changes the idle almost instantly when adjusting it. Only takes 1/24th of a turn either way to get it in its sweet spot when its close to optimum. HSN too!

Almost every nova offroad engine has the same carb now , lsn tuning video by bernard durand is a must see

Novarossi diesnt necessarily go with the "set the idle gap to ?" Method
