Losi XXX-S

.28" are for HRC and .36" are for LRC. .36" are always used in the back.

Has anyone added the Fastrax/Millennium XXX-S Delrin accessories to their car yet? I'm interested to know if the outdrives and differential pullies are lighter than the stock ones and by how much?

Not tried the xxxs bits but the fastrax delrin 1 way for the tc3 is very fragile. I put mine in the car and clipped a hose very slightly approaching the line, virtually no throttle as I was parking my car, didn't even knock the car off line. The thing self destructed. I was running composite cvd's too.

umm i need a little bit of help. it seems every time i run my xxx-s i break a different part. this time it happened to be the right rear hub carrier. and what kind of pinion gear do you recommend running with a stock motor???
#2165
Truckman, with a stock motor, I'd say a 23 pinion would be good, cause that would get you to an overall drive ratio of 7:0.
To everyone else. I just upgraded my xxx-s with the full-graphite conversion kit.

Why do you all run such high final drive ratios with stock motors?

Just putting the finishing touchs on my stock XXX-S. Wiring the ESC then time to run tomorrow
Starting with stock settings in manual, 24/90t,40wt oil, shortened front shocks, steering bearings.
Color is Pearl Purple/Black. Looks blue in photo.

Sorry One last chassis pic comparison. Losi needs to make a 1/18 XXX-S to compete with HPI

what do the 4 deg front hub carriers do for the car?

Basically they take steering away from the car. if you are running the kit blocks (O deg) and put the 4 deg ones on you will notice that the car does not turn into the corner so abruptly and that you lose some slow speed steering. By running a slightly softer spring than you do with the 0 deg blocks you can limit this effect. Similarly experiment with the inboard anti-dive blocks to get the desired effect.
What people seem to be doing to limit the weight transfer under braking (which loads the front up and breaks traction at the rear) is to run negative anti-dive at the front (say -2deg) and four to six deg castor on the blocks. This is what Spashett and the others are doing in an attempt I believe to settle the car into the corner.
To be honest unless you are a pro Like Spashett I doubt whether messing around with these things is worth it. The car is very good in kit form (about the only change I have made is to run 2 deg castor blocks on the front and 1/2 deg toe in blocks on the back) . You are better off practising your driving until you can drive smooth lines for a whole 5 min heat without making any mistakes

I wish I could drive better. Because my XXXS was screaming tonight. You know your car is quick when others say, "Whitester, your car is fast."
Need more practice. Canadian Indoor Nationals, in Niagara Falls, Ontario, is coming up at the end of April.
It's frustrating knowing I have a fast car, and I'm not laying the SMACK DOWN! LOL

MDM3, Your car rocks! I love the paint man. So it's a pearl color with black as the backing color? Did you paint it from a can? Good job man!
