The titanium nitride coating is suppose to make the shafts last longer. It is a hard coating that reduces wear and prevents scratching. They are also suppose to be smoother so the seals last longer.

futureal, the titanium nitride ones are not supposed to bend or break as easily, when I had my street weapon the stock ones used to bend pretty easily (or was that cause it was my 1st car ever 
) ...although I've poppped the snot out of my XXX-S and have yet to bend or break a stock shock shaft.

also the tit. nit. make the shock smoother....and it reduses friction.....

Started building my xxx-s yesterday, after having the kit for a week (been really busy). Discovered that my MIP/Thorp are not the right size (2mm and 1.5mm), wasn't expecting that. So I'm using the included allen wrenches for now.
The diffs went together easily, and the initial chassis building was smooth (belt, cover spur, belt and bulkheads), however, I've hit a snag... The bushings required for the steering links are AWOL.
I'm not going to bother calling Losi, since it would be better to install bearings anyway.

Gepetto, are you sure they're AWOL ...they're on the plastic (yes plastic) tree that the shock ends are on (I believe) I thought they were awol at first to like you I used bearings then when I was done I had 2 5x8 plastic bushings left over, and I verified from Losi that those were in fact the steering bushings.

Hi Guys,
Here's what we have coming as far as those aluminum parts:
Front inner pivot blocks (with optional spacer for roll center adjustments)
Front pivot blocks (2F, 4/0F)
Steering bellcranks
Rear inner pivot blocks (with optional spacer for roll center adjustments)
Rear Pivot blocks (2R, 4/0R)
We also have two parts that will be released this week. They are the front and rear shock tower. These are machined out of 3.0mm woven graphite, and they are direct replacement of the stock pieces. We should have them available with pictures on our website by the end of this week. If you guys have any questions, feel free to email me at:

Please do a gear adapter..... the Matt Francis one is way to expensive and the red is crappy looking. I like the natural look.

mike, i ordered the trinity peices, and plan on using easyoff oven cleaner to strip the red off....i dont like it...

.... I could do that also but my main point is that all of those products he is marketing are a rip off. $38 for the gear adapter is way to much. A friend has a guy at his track that made one himself and it cost about $20 to make it but the guy doesn't want to make them for everyone so he will not take any orders 
. I was thinking about having one made where it is not the whole round piece but instead just two or three thin arms that branch out and can have a screw go through them into the Spur Gear. It may be thin but I think it will work and the aluminum will not bend since it is only a spur gear adapter.
