Thank you for the response. I was thinking this was really the only advantage (capturing the pin).

If you run factory team harded wheel pins in the front you dont even need the c clip

Didn't even know ft pins existed. Im interested though because otherwise i was planning to just abandon the front hexes. Got a link? By the way, what hex are you using that with? Just in case the slot depth differs between types.

I had it at 7 on a stock spec speedo. Motor timing was at about 3 lines on the reedy. Now I'm at a 72/32 in 13.5 with no boost in the speedo and 3-4 lines on the motor.

Default Gearing

It seems that gearing varies a lot for each motor.. I have tekin 13.5 with RS esc timing boost is all okay what gearing and setting should I use on a med to good size track??

Preferably with an 81t spur bc I bought the jc spur before I realized what was what .. I haven't run the car yet the track isn't finished

So the diff linked (#7678) won't work ? I just bought that diff today I hope it fits.

Also do you guys think I should buy the V2 shocks to upgrade from my stocker's or hold out for the BB's that were in the picture ? Thanks for the help

That diff has different outdrives and uses a standard bearing. It will work if you have a b4. If you have a b4.1 you will need the diff designed for the sc10, it uses metric bearings.

I still run standard front wheels and hex rears with 22 wheels. I like the hexes due to the fact I can use the solid FT pins. They will fall out if it's not captured by the JC hex.

The rollpins are prone to breakage. I've lost a main a while ago with my SC10 due to this, and this happened to idrummerboy recently as well. Rollpins tend to break at the worst times.

Default Clicking noise when rolling the car

Hi my car makes this annoying clicking noise when i roll the car. I have located the noise, it comes from the engine forcing the pinion to "crash". Cause when i spin the engine manualy it does not "float" meaning it makes smaal jumps, and these makes the pinion crash into the spur making this clicking sound. Is it supposed to be this sound?

I have tried changing the gear mesh, this does not help.

Engine is: LRP X12 Vector 7.5 T , Spru is 81 T (followed the car pack) , and i have "robinson racing 48P Pinon" 21 tags .

Possibly a bent motor plate or bent top shaft. Can you see the mesh tighten up when you spin the spur gear around by hand?

Almost finished with my build...just waiting on my radiopost servo and my tekin rs to come in. I gotta say I can't wait to get this on the track.

Is the stock setup from the manual any good?

Sounds like the normal magnetic pull in the motor, which is much more noticeable in brushless motors.

Does anyone know the part # for the gear diff that will fit the Worlds edition B4.1?
