ya i know.. i was just wondering if i should just get the electronics for my roller or just buy a new one.. i can buy batteries and charger after, i wa gonna get the sidewinder sct or the sidewinder 4600kv. but if i bought the new one id have to run it as it is for now. so should i just build mine, would it be worth it or worth buying a new one instead
You could buy the RTR and sell your roller for batteries and a charger. |
yeah i only paid 50.00 for my roller tho. could i run the rtr on 3s? i have been told by some people that the rtr combo has given them problems, esc problems mostly.

3s in a 2wd truck is usually overkill. Lack of grip will ruin your fun in one way and parts breakage if/once you get going way too fast in another.

http://www.rcgearhead.com/Gearing/Browse Ideally your temp after 8 mins should be around 150 on the motor. Go with a smaller pinion if you're temping too high (or larger spur, but you have a pretty large spur as it is). |

Not familiar w/ that motor, but the closest thing I found is the CMS 36-4600? According to this, you should be geared between 87/13 or 87/14

Hmm I haven't seen a site like that. Maybe you're talking about this huge RC guide?
http://users.telenet.be/elvo/ But it's pretty much go with a smaller pinion or a larger spur if you want to lower motor temps |

JC wheel offset
Any of you racers using the JConcepts 12mm hex, what is the offset of the JC wheels and can you use other wheels and maintain the proper offset?
Thanks and God Bless |
would a ball diff be better in the dirt? I am thinking of just buying one up at the track I will be racing at and running that on the dirt instead of tearing up and messing with the 500,000wt diff oil?
