I have read various posts in this thread but have not been able to find the exact answer that i am looking for. Please help =)

Situation:

I have an FT SC10 (2WD of course) and a SC10 4x4, and would like to be able to use the same wheels and tires on both of them.

Possible solution:

Purchase the following items for the FT SC10

Pro-Line 12mm Wheel Adapters (SC10) [PRO6064-05]

Pro-Line Front Inboard Hub Kit (SC10) [PRO6068-00]

And use these wheels for the FT SC10 and SC10 4x4 -> Pro-Line "ProTrac" Split Six 2.2/3.0 Front/Rear Wheels (Black) (2) [PRO2723-00]

Can anyone confirm that this will give me what i want? If not, can you tell me what will =)

Thanks in advance.

I'd wait until the AE front hexes come out. The part numbers are already out and says mid July for stock. Then use JC hex adapters for the rear and use 12mm JC Rulux wheels for both trucks.

Hopefully someone here can help!
I am not new to the hobby, but I havent ever had this problem so im hoping someone can help me out.
In my sc10 I just got I took it outside today to try it out after i bound my remote to it and got my electronics put in it. But it was making a barking sound. so i tightened up the diff, went back out and it was still making a barking sound...so i loosened it up a little more and it was just slipping way to much...so i tightened it back up and went back out, but it was still doing it. Then i took it all apart rebuilt it, put it back together and still doing the same.
So i moved on to the slipper(i am not very familiar with trying to set these)
I loosened it up, and it was just slipping way too much..then i kept tightening it more and more and more and it still continued to bark. The only other thing I am wondering is if the slipper pads, or the slipper pad holders maybe need replaced? would that be causing the problem? Hopefully someone can help! Ive been going crazy today trying to figure it out!
Thanks,
Matt Beckham

Just wondering is yours a rtr version or a kit? If its a kit and you had to build it, make sure that the three screws that hold the motor plate onto the tranny aren't overtightened....... And if I remember correctly there is one slightly longer then the other two, so you may have used one of them in the wrong place...... If any of those three screws are overtightened and sticking out to much on the motor plate, it will rub against your slipper hub...... Even if its the rtr version I would still check to make sure there is no rubbing on the inside slipper hub......

Yes, I use that exact setup to use the same wheels between my SC10 and SC10 4x4.

Get the AE hex parts. Not sure if they have any issues but I testify the Proline kit does.

SC10 Dune Buggy?

Anyone know if AE will becoming out with a SC10 DB in the near future? I have all AE stuff and dont want to jump on the bandwagon by getting one of the other brands.

There's nothing wrong with some cross company action. My friend just picked up one of those SCBs. I'm not a fan, but w/e to each their own. There's already way too many classes as it is.

Getting really sick of this stuff...

I don't know about you guys, but between the SC10 4x4 parts & Upgrades and the SC10 Hex addaptor/Front Hex parts I am getting really frustrated that this stuff is not in stock. Don't advertise that is is availabel until you can supply the demand. Honeslty it is getting to be a huge point of frustration. Sorry... Venting done!

Wild Cherry 07-08-2011 11:00 AM

I like Ae announcements for new parts that will available soon...

Better than guessing ....;)
