Just wanted to tell you guys something funky we do on our sc10's here is southeast michigan.
We put blue buggy springs in the front with a preload spacer and threaded shock collars all the way up. yes a preload spacer with threaded shocks. gray springs in the rear.
Makes it sit lower and makes it stiffer

I was going to replace the hexes with the JC aluminum units front and back. I'm on the fence if the receiver box is worth bothering with. i was surprised to see a "C" clip used instead of a crush tube.

Axle is undercut where the kingpin passes through. Similar principle to the crush tube

I will be when they release the SC10 RS parts (I already have the JConcepts rear heaxes).

I do that in the front except I use the stock springs and in the rear I use the red springs from associated with no preload spacers rides nice and low, although I am racing on carpet so its a little different.

I have goose bumps and bar codes and am thinking of gettin AKA enduros!?! factory team setup in the truck now with 27.5 oil frt n rear.. tekin 17.5 and a mmp esc. no timing boost allowed. have it geared to temp out at 150ish after 4 min... straioght away speed seems good but it pushes and is loose>!>!>!> weird i know... HELP ME PLEASE...:weird:

Try heavier shock oil (40w) and firmer front springs (go to red and move down if the steering is too responsive). The surface is hard to imagine, but the goose bumps are probably the best average bet. You might also want to consider AKA Grid Irons or Pro-Line Bow-Ties.

Look up Kody Numedahl's sheet on the Team Associated site for a good starting point for a soft track. It's almost identical to my high-traction clay setup, except with a shorter wheelbase. I also balance my battery based on the track (forward or center, never back).

Has anyone used the spektrum 6070 servo in the sc10 I went to the LHS today they were out of the savox ones that I wanted but had a couple 6070s in stock just wondering if anyone has used them.

Asharus 06-23-2011 12:52 PM

My buddy got the 6040 for his SCTE but we didn't get a chance to run it yet. Pretty much the same specs at the 1258TG Savox, with more torque. Dunno about the 6070, not sure if anyone's ever used that in a SCT.

the only thing I am worried about is the low profile because there is no real need for it it has 125oz of tq is that enough with a .09 speed or should I just go with the 6040. I know I am gonna need a capacitor because my esc is the tekin and it has some glitches..

Honestly I'm not comfortable with running anything below 150tq in a SCT, but I do run a 1257TG in my B4.1 and it only has 138oz of tq and know a few that run that same servo in their SCTs

I might just go with the 6040 because that is what a lot of people are running I know one guy at the track swears by it but then again someone else swears by the savox 1257TG. Servos are such an annoying crucial part of the racing part, I am sure if I didn't race it wouldn't be such a big deal I just dont want to have a slow one.

I'm liking my 1258 for speed and torque, no more wondering "what if", for me.

Match that with the Spektrum if it is what's available and you will be happy.

Yep, I think the 6040 spektrum is the one that matches up
