do the sc10 4x4 diff gears fit inside of the 2wd gear diff? Mine are stripped out and I need to replace them

How did they get stripped,that's odd

no, the 2w is a 48P

4W = 32p

In theory you could swap out all 3 transmission gears, but I'm not sure what the benefit would be. If you stripped out the 48p diff I would blame it on bad luck and build another. I've put mine through hell and it's still together.

I believe with the change of the SC10RS the gear diff gears inside of the gear diff are changed to the new 4w gears.

That's fustrating. I ordered my the day they got posted on the AE website (I was watching for them every day) and I still have not received mine. I called AE this past Wed. and was told I would probably not see them until the end of July/early Aug.

That is what i'm wondering. I'm looking to replace the gears internal to the diff.

These are the 4x4 gears and they look like they might drop right in. I keep stripping out the 2wd gear set. The castle 1410 motor is a beast :P

I just piiicked up a sidewinder sv2. Was gonna get the 1410 myself but wanted more top speed. Incredible how those 4 pole motors run. I love mine. I thought sommething in the diff was goin but I took it all apart and just relubed it and. She's fine now. Those diffs are pretty solid if u ask me. I have yet to break anything in there and I am feeding it all kinds of juice. Ever consider getting a ball diff and metal idler gear? I hear that's what people are doing for their sc10s

spunkysandoval 07-08-2011 09:00 PM

I pulled my diff apart and the diff gears are actually stripped out. They need to be replaced with something more robust, and I think these new 4x4 gears are the ticket.

spunkysandoval 07-08-2011 09:09 PM

shizcol 07-08-2011 09:09 PM

Gday, whats a good starting point as far as ride height goes for sc10ft 2wd?

Track is kinda smooth and has decent size jumps for 1/10th scale.

Cheers

This is my base-line configuration, except with a short wheel base, and it is where I start my ride height adjustments: http://www.teamassociated.com/pdf/ca...rnats_2010.pdf

Hopefully that helps.
