Thanks to all for your suggestions in Novak esc/motor combo. That really helped me out. Thanks ShortCourseOnly for your theories. It will be something I would like to put to the test. It all sounds very logical.
I ran last night on a new layout geared at 27/75 to start with motor end bell advanced to 45*. Came off the track after 7 minutes at around 145*. Bumped my gear up to 28/75 to pick up a little more top end for the long straight and still only temped at 155*. I'm good with that...for now.;)

HB Beams Pink....What Foam?

Running at SDRC and considering Beams. Any suggestions and the best foam inserts to use? Thanks

Not familiar with that track.. but I like the red aka foams in my beams.

That sounds really good. Now you can creap to dynamic timing. I would start with maybe a 26t and 20* dynamic starting at 6000 RPM. Then check temps.

Someone at our track said to use 1/8th scale red aka's. What size do you use on your beams? Thanks again.

I beleive the 1/8 inserts are what fit the sct tires.

A couple of guys are running AKA foams. JConcepts Bar Codes work very well at SDRC, too, especially when worn down a bit.

hey murray the proline v3 foams are the ones to have,but they are no were to be found,i have a set of bh beams in pink ran 3 packs,with proline foams on de 12mm hex i might wanna part with,just not sure yet

Hello,

my gf just received her new SC10 FT toy and is mounting it. Do you have any advice of set up for an indoor astro track? She'll be running Schumacher minipins in the rear and mini spikes in the front. Thanks!

Just talked to AKA and you are right. They mentioned possibly using double sided carpet tape to connect insert to wheel. Anyone tried it yet?

I compared the red foams that came in my rebars to a pack of red 1/8 foams and they were identical. I use these foams in all my hb and aka tires
