get a rear sway bar, you can run a softer spring but the body roll will be significantly less.

I'm trying out the bar this wknd on road this weekend.

The softer you get the faster its gonna wear, I usually ran softer in the front because fronts last longer. say i ran a supersoft in front and soft in back.

the rears will definitely wear faster than the fronts.

i wish we had high bite tracks around here. :mad:

I have found you can go as soft as you want in the rear. Tyre wear is so low on these vehicles that it can be a bit of a non-issue.

Oftentimes, people run the same compound or harder in the front. Short Course vehicles need the rear grip more than the front.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. I was looking at setups on rc10.com and noticed most had run different front and rear tires. In most cases the tread and compound was different.

Im not worried about wearing them out. The track is pretty easy on tires. Ive never raced short course there but on my nitro buggy I ran soft Grid Irons last winter and after a whole day the pins were just worn a little bit. Im sure the SC10 will probably not even coming close to that.

Im a big fan of AKA stuff so I was looking at the Grid Irons and Wishbones but Double Dees were mentioned in the track thread.

Got the wishbones mounted on the rulux wheels and these things seem great and sticky for onroad or carpet. Look forward to using them, hopefully it wont rain this weekend.

Apologize, but searching for an answer has drawn a blank on this issue...

Recently rebuilt / did maintenance on my ball diff for the FT SC10. Tightened everything down and then did the 1/8th turn out. Everything runs freely / smoothly in opposite directions. Went about the putting it back into the case and attaching back to frame...

However, once I start installing the Slipper - everything goes from smooth to little tough and grabby in some places. Once I remove the slipper, everything is smooth again...

Really big rookie at RC and I'm attempting to figure stuff out, but this one is stumping me...

Do I not have the slipper tightened down enough or did I mess something up in the rebuild?

back off the transmission screws some and try again.

Is the pinion installed? If not then there may be a diff case screw rubbing the back of the slipper plate. If the pinion is in then check for some bad teeth on the spur. Also check to see that the slipper is running true, it's easy to get the inside disk out of place and cause the whole thing to wobble.

Make sure that you have the top shaft spacer installed. if not as soon as you tighten the slipper down it will bind like no other.

Does the FTsc10 come Pre assembled at a-main hobbies? looks that way in the pic.:confused:
