And get this they suggest the stock tires. :weird:

personally I'm going to use suburbs on the rear and bowties up front.

If You wanna try a different tire soon, Try the aka wishbones. They are like the suburbs,

Wild Cherry, what do you mean by gluing the cap on to avoid blowouts?

You can easily snap the cap off the Losi cartridge with your just fingernail.
You really need to glue that cap....

And don't forget you will still have to take the Losi cartridge apart just so you can slime the seals...

V2 is so easy , just dump old rings and spacer out , replace both with new and screw cap back on ...

The V2 is Awesome !

green springs were better on the jumps, corners were ok.. I am gonna switch back to red and see how they are with everything level.. Everyone runs red at my track so its the ticket. with the greens the rear tire comes off the ground and spins out quite a bit.

You're jumping from the softest (1.9lb green) springs to the hardest (2.95lb red). Have you tried anything in the middle? The Factory Team setup uses red front and grey rears. The grey rear springs are 2.33lb. I have this setup on my truck and really like it. Someone even suggested cutting one full coil off the front springs to make the front end stiffer and it makes a big difference in how the truck rolls into the corners.

It's just everyone uses red at the track.. I'll try the greasy to see.. Do you think that will help the spin out and the back rear tire coming off the ground?

Making them sound worse then they are.

Losi shocks are still easier to rebuild then the v2 shocks. And to top it off the losi shocks are much easier to build consistent each and every time.

I have both so this is not just heresay. It's fact.

But the V2's are a big improvement from the old shocks.

When I got one of the first SC10s it didn't work til it got Losi parts on it.:sneaky:

Started out with 2 degree rear hubs, nite and day.

Next was the shocks cuz of the leakin and the threaded bodies.

Truck was/is dialed.

PIIHB! 09-28-2010 05:56 PM

yep, I do use them now and then, fills the tiny gap in spring weights between Losi and AE.

Ive got the brushless rtr and Im going to be racing on medium to high bite smooth clay this winter and I am trying to figure out what tires I should buy. Im looking at Grid Irons, Snipers, Holeshots and Double Dees. The biggest question is should I order the same compound front and rear?

What wheels are working best?
