A FT SC10 comes with a ball diff so no oil or fluid is required.
Shock oil is something you should have in different weights already unless you are just getting started then 25,30,35,40 weight is good. You can also get 32.5,37.5 weights in other manufactures besides AE. I believe the kit comes with 30wt. Craig |

Why make half weight oil?
Why do you ask so many stupid questions?:weird: please tell me your age is something teen and maybe I'll cut a little more slack.. |
I ask this awhile back but anyone have a good gearing for a tekin rs with a 17.5? I am gonna have someone at the track do the setup for the esc but what gearing gets most out of the 17.5 motor?
Kinda medium carpet track. Also should I be running the servo saver all the way tight? I sometimes have no steering through a corner. |

Just got some aluminum 1deg rear hubs. Let see how this bad boy is!

I would not recommend running the servo saver all the way tight. You will just damage more things and could fry your servo. If you need more steering you can move weight forward or stiffen up the rear suspension. A firmer rear spring and oil will improve steering. What is your set-up now? If you are already stiff then you will need to soften the front.

Technically there is no adjustment to the associated servo savers. You are supposed to tighten them until the head of the screw bottoms out. If you don't tighten them all the way you end up bending the steering assembly as the head of the bolt that goes all the way through hits the chassis.

RE: Steering
What tires are you using on the front? When I ran the stock tires I had a push in the corners. I swapped them for Enduros and suddenly I had oversteer. I had to soften up the rear and move weight back to balance the steering. |
I am using stock tires.. Again it's only everynow and again in one corner of the track. Everyone uses the stock tires. I should just work on that section.. My main thing now is making the switch to 17.5 and figuring the gearing with the gear diff.

I'd try going to better front tires. You'll be able to turn down the steering throw and have better control overall. You can then soften up the rear end to get more rear traction too. I wound up with Red front springs and Green rears.
