The a- team has a new body for all of the big 4 sct's. I plann to top my sc10 with one of these. They have new wing like things at the back, and number panels.

Here is a picture of the number plate screwed on, and the wings (I think thats the purpose that those little wings serve)

I had a blast yesterday at my local track with my SC10 all day. Finally had a chance to test it out with my new 17.5 system, actually everything was new on there, servo, receiver, ESC, and motor.

Anywho, I have the thing geared at 78T spur with 26T pinion. Is it me, or are 17.5 brushless slow as a turd?

Huge difference between the 17.5 and what I had previously, 4600Kv. The 17.5 seemed like there was no low-end torque, no top-end RPM either...

I don't remember brushed 27T being this slow...

Anyone familiar with the Hobbywing 60A V2 + 17.5T combo? I kept playing with the "punch" setting on it and but I don't quite understand which profile to stick it in...

Also, my motor works, but I have to set the throttle to "REV" in order to get it to turn the right direction (re-arming the ESC afterwards ofcourse), does brushless care which direction it's turning provided that there's no timing on it (0-degrees)?

Perhaps I need to re-wire the motor?

what size bearings do i need to get for the steering ?

per the prior discussion about not recommending the FT battery strap, i disagree. the strap allows you to move the battery around... i.e. to the rear. This increases rear grip. Some rig the stock strap, but it looks awful. If $ is not an issue, get the FT strap and slide that battery all the way back!

Tom what motor are you running with that ESC?????
I have 3 Speed Passion ESC's and have no problems with the way the motor runs or anything.
If you want i can get u a copy of the setup for the S/P esc and it is my understanding that the Hobbywing ESC is the same with less adjustments
on the software.

Hey Erik, I figured out what was wrong. It was an error between the keyboard and chair

What was happening was, the Ezrun had "profile 7" as default for the punch setting. It's not defined in the instruction book, but "profile 7" was pretty soft.

I then trial-and-errored profile 3, which worked good, so I thought "the lower the profile, the punchier it gets." So I switched it to profile 1 this time.

But it did not get punchier, it got weaker, I was wrong. After checking the manual (who would've "thunk" it...):

Profile 1 - Soft
Profile 2 - Normal
Profile 3 - Aggressive
Profile 4 - VERY Aggressive

Profile 5 and up - Undefined

For the EZrun, the Xeruns have Profile 5 and up, but I didn't look at the Xerun manual...

So I think I need to reprogram the ESC to profile 4 for the punch setting and it should cure my low-end torque. I'm fine with the top-end speed not being as fast (as my 4600Kv), which is to be expected, but I do need the "blip" to get over at least doubles and be able to swing the rear around 180-degree turns...

Yup, so it was error between keyboard and chair...:sneaky:

I was gearing mine with 87/19 for a while. The ESC and the Motor got really hot, so I bumped it down to 18T the last time I was running the 4600Kv. The motor cooled a bit, but the 4600 still felt a bit too much for my taste, so I have a 17.5 in there now.

The Mamba Max setting had the motor timing to "none" so it was fully open, no advancing or retarding the timing... Although, now that I think back, an 87/18 gearing with the 4600Kv timing to "low" or "lowest" might've helped to calm things down a bit more for this goofy class...

According to Tower's description, it's 1/8"x1/14" bearing. You can spend $11 for four pieces or just $4 for four pieces at AvidRC:

Yeah, I take it that back. I think I might have to mod my stock one to be able to scoot the battery back all the way like how it was on my old FT B4...

It would probably take away some steering, but as it is now, the EPA on my steering is SEVERELY limited to make the truck a bit more controllable. With more rear traction, I should be able to open up the EPA a bit more on the steering...

My SC10 has dethroned my B44 as the most reliable, hassle-free, run-it pack-after-pack, vehicle. This thing doesn't drive nearly as precision as my B44, but man, this thing is fun! I don't get chills down my neck when the 1/8th scalers are on the track with this thing! And the Bow-ties are finally breaking-in, it feels more stickier every pack I put through!
