Hey Jason M., try this set up
http://www.teamassociated.com/racerh..._SIGP_2006.pdf
Seems to work well at Bumps. I tend to go lighter in the rear spring (silver). Should get you in the ballpark. Cant help you on the brushless yet.

any of you run the FT aluminium shock bushings? I find the spacing a little too wide, and pushes the position of the shock out too much in the rear, making it rub against the turnbuckle.
Ive went back to standard plstic bushings.
any thoughts?
front ones are fine.

Anyone use their T4 for oval racing. I used a friends Losi truck and had a ball with it. Its fast with a lot of sliding thru the turns. Converting my T4 over to go oval racing.

I'm through bags A and B. This thing sure is tiny compared to my 1/8th scale buggies.
Jason K. what motor do you use for Bumps and Jumps and what gearing? Also did you get a RC8. I won one from Homer in one of his raffles. I plan to test it this weekend at Nuclear. Next weekend I may go to the turkey race in NJ then after that I will see you up at Bumps and Jumps for some 2wd action. If I get batteries by then. They're the only thing I dont have yet. Wanna loan me a couple packs? LOL
I could always buy a regular motor I saw that I can run one of them on the box. Or buy another brushless motor.
I have no idea how much this stuff costs though. I got the B4 and Novak 5.5 brushless set-up and a servo for fixing a guys car who owns a hobby shop. It was a sweet deal.

PTP, I usually run a 10x2 at Bumps, but that motor finally gave up the ghost and am running my only other mod motor 12x2 and once this one goes, Im goin brushless/lipo. I think Lewis was runnin a 9x1/10x1 . Sorry, I cant help you out on the brushless questions. You should be good with the 5.5 though, just make some adjustments on your radio.
Congrats on the RC8. I wont be getting one until next year...maybe. I wont be back at Bumps for a while (maybe the xmas classic), my wife is due in less than a week, and with 2 in diapers I'm not planning on a lot of racing. Good luck at Bumps, lots of fast guys there in Mod buggy.

Good luck to you and your 3 mini Kahlers.
I'm not sure how much I'll be there either. My son is playing basketball and right now I'm crossing my fingers hoping for Saturday games which will give me plenty of free Sundays.
Guys how does a 5.5 brushless compare to 9-12 turn motors?

5.5 is more like a 9T or less. I use to have a GTX/orion 10x1 in my t4...the 10t was way slower them the 5.5. That was for outdoors.. I had a 5.5 in the truck, 6.5 in the buggy. was great for this large outdoor track. Indoors w/ only 100' straight I had to put the 6.5 in the truck.. 5.5 w/ the radio dailed way down still too much motor for the traction. Funny thing is I run much quicker laps w/ the 10.5 in the buggy comparted to the truck...granted I got alot more laps in and fine tuning on the buggy. But sometimes bigger isn't always better. If I had another 10.5 I'd prolly replace the 6.5 with it...6.5 still too much for the traction I have available.
