SC10 4x4 Thread
I totally forgot about the original thread that was locked...I think you may be right...it would be interesting to know how many posts were on that thread.
I'm not knocking rcshox's product in any way. But as an alternative to the ACK bar wouldn't one be able to switch the stock bar around? I test fitted it last night and fits fights but you have to grind away the bell-crank like in the ACK bar install manual (which I am not willing to do right now). Granted it's not adjustable and probably no where near as good as the real thing but for those on a tight budget like me it might just work. I remember people did the reverse on the blitz to get more steering so there's no reason why it cant be done here.
Once again I think rcshox's solution is much better but this might work with no additional parts.

I don't mean to sound stupid, I'm a 1/8 nitro buggy guy getting into SC. I just bought a sc10 4x4. Can someone explain to me what is the difference between the stock truck gear and a basket? maybe some pics will help me out.

He also has a thread on here about it. Just search sc10 4x4 slipper basket and you should find all you need to know.
You may also want to look up the pin mod, and a chassis brace/exo chassis. Search for the pin mod, I think it starts around page 500-510.

The brace and exo chassis has been an ongoing debate in the last 50 pages or so.

Welcome to the thread dougwalter911. The basket you are refering to is the clutch basket by MacktheKnife. It helps aid the slipper assembly.

Its a aluminum piece and a washer that goes on the outside of the spur gear. The stock setup with just the 2 pads tends to either be too loose or locked. Its one of those upgrades that most people get, along with swat bars and the spring kits.

so, after a time of arguing with myself, i finally picked up a sc10 4x4, am wanting to power it with a novak HV 6.5 turn and Novak HV Pro Esc, any recommendations for pinion, spur, upgrades?
when you set your alignment make sure you go 1* of toe in and no more than -1* of camber in the front.
