I hear ya, I'm considering the Turnigy Nano-techs 5100 65-135c saddles as they are reasonably priced. Any experience with them or know anyone that has run them with the sc411 4000? Thanks for the help guys, it's always a bummer to order something in rush and have it not work out the way you planned.

Last race I ran some Hyperion 30C 6000mah batteries. They are the fat style like the Gens ace packs and worked really well. Temped under 90 degrees after a full run when the motor was temping hot. Since they are hyperion, should be good quality and for the price I got them for new, worth a shot.
I wasn't very happy with mine. About half way though the pack and the truck starts to studder pretty bad for me. I mainly use mine as a backup for my 2wd truck and vmx 450

I always factor in that $30 shipping when pricing batteries. Sometimes it's worth it for the savings (I think those saddles are like $25) other times I'd rather pay an extra $10 - $30 to get the name brand with some support.

Does the shudder you mentioned happen all the time from the different Nano-techs or most of the batteries you run? Also, after running saddles, were you overly impressed with the performance or was it a small increase in handling? Thanks again!
4800 wont last long.
I run the 6000 with no problem. But then again I have Mantis' saddle pack setup with the straps.
Def go 6000.
I run a savox, pro 4 4600 and rx8. These batteries work fine. I'm sure I pull enough amps. Would I like like more c rating ? of course but I'm not paying out the yang for it. Maybe if I had a different budget I'd spring for something like a Reedy but I'm far from being a Ryan Maifield.

The nano's feel pretty much the same right up until cutoff. When racing I usually take a couple of hot laps before the heats and main to burn off that initial jolt, then it's good to go with consistency for the rest of the race.
I love the way my truck drives right now, but I did exotek, saddles, and center diff all at the same time so it's hard to say what exactly did what.
They aren't too tall where they won't clear the belt cover. It should work.
Call up AE and speak to Chris Jaroz he might know off the top of his head.
I forgot I had a copy of the FT manual here, it looks like you can adjust the height of the battery strap. Look at page 39 of the FT manual.
You can use the Gena 6000s with b44 setup, BUT you will have to get longer set screws for the thumb screws if you want to use them. I am just using a regular 4-40 screw for now until I find longer ones. Might just have to get a long button head and run it all the way through the thumb nut. I didn't have to make different straps though.
I didn't seem to feel a huge difference in handling until I started using the 6000s at a big race last weekend that had an indoor track with a ton more traction than my local track.
