Ok this is weird i am asking a question LOL. I have always used the 8 and 7.5 mm venturi's swapping through out the day never having to touch the idle. Now I put my PTM in a buggy and am going with the 6.5mm does the insert affect the idle screw or not? Meaning should I put the venturi in then close the slide and do the 1mm gap or leave it how it was cause my needles never need played with.

Ok guys have a question for ya. Just broke in my new Go 21.7port turbo. runs flawlessly. Now that I took the alluminum foil off, I'm wondering what temps are normal for that motor because this thing is spot on and with the body on after a full tank ran through im only getting to 190 deg F? That amazes me and was wondering if thats normal or not. Thanks again guys

Set your idle gap without the venturi restrictor in the carb opening. Once you have it set, you should be able to swap out and use different venturis without havng to adjust idle only adjusting tune slightly.

optimally, you would want to keep the temps above 200 degress F.

Backyard they are awesome, dont get that thats too much money they are just trying to sell you the stock 1 I have never heard of a factory mod, and I drive for them. I could be wrong but I doubt it. PM me and I can get you to the US sourse. About my idle adjustment Q earlier I was only asking because I always ran the 8 and 7.5 with no need to adjust the idle screw, but going to the 6.5 I was just wondering never used such a small restricter. I was just picking my brain thanks.

That is a stock Go Tech engine. You need to purchase any stock engine form a distributor or authorized dealer in your country. If you buy a stock Go Tech engine form someone in another country wether they are an authorized dealer or not, your mill will not be covered under warranty. If you are in the US, then I would recommend contacting 22Racer, VNMSGT, or Mr. Twister. They are all authorized Go Tech dealers and I am sure they can give you a lot better deal on a new engine than that ebay auction.

That's definitely a 5-port race engine. I know because I just got one too!
