had my first go with the 415 in deep rain today. Gotta say it was fun.

Throughout all my qualifying and first final i didnt alter much but was all round unhappy with the car. It worked AWESOME in the luke warm dry though. ill post my setup later.

I was using the spool and just had a mega case of chatter, causing it all to bind up. and when i reduced the lock, mega understeer....

In my last final though i smacked in my 1way the rain was Very Bad. The car was wayy better. Had great turn in , stability but just lacked from some understeer out of corners.

I think the Fixed diff just understeered alot more then the 1way which i didnt like.

I think im going to try the inboard toe out on the front. Any pointers how to go about:

using inboard.
More turn in, less bind.

Im running 19t and the new suspension.

Look at the middle chart for the standard suspension (ie with 2 deg hubs) and the lower one for LWT (or 1 deg hubs).

The top chart gives the inboard toe, without taking into account the hubs additional toe.

The Medel Special Edition is somewhat of an inside joke. Yeah, we know the MS stands for Rubino Edition

Here is some pictures I taken on the mod in the rear of using a Front Swaybar in the back. On the Rear Arms you will notice a small molding release point. That I reference and drilled the hole and tapped with a 3mm screw for the ball stud. Use the front sway bars kit, so you'll probably want to order a spare sway bar set. This allows 28mm and 30mm tires on the rear no problem.





I think the sway bars will work pretty close to the same as the original location. May be a slight difference.

Here is the pictures from the back on the Foams installed. You'll notice my shock is on the inside hole on the arm but with the first pic, it can be put back on the outside hole no problem with the 28mm Speedmind foams as first shown. I also filed the upright's top portion for the camber link to clear these 28mm and 30mm tires. I believe the aluminum uprights would not be a problem at all with the pictures of its design that I seen.



Now with the 30mm Ellegi Rear Tire installed. No rubbing anywhere. You unfortunately lose the shock outside hole adjustment on the arm.

Now for the Front Tires trying to run 28mm on the front. Tamiya did not think to well for the use of foams. I think the Kingpin Ball stud on top does not go down far enough. I see almost a 1mm gap as it seats on the steering knuckle before the C Hub. Don't keep on tightening or you will strip out the threads in the plastic. To eliminate the ball cups from rubbing, just chop their heads off a little. See below:



With the 28mm Speedmind Foam installed, it's close but not rubbing! The wheels spin freely. This should be the case with most 28mm foam tires unless they change the wheel diameter on you to be a bit smaller.

I use the 6mm hubs on the front to save the wheels rubbing.

Went racing this past weekend at FRC with the LW suspension. I noticed that my wheels where rubbing on the front suspension. I placed the wheel spacers on there and it was still rubbing. Any sugestions? I have my travel set at 70%. I'll figure it out.

I also bouhgt the aluminum rear hubs for the LS suspension. Try that out at the next race. It came in 1.5 degrees.

Do you know wich car Reinhard and Fischer used at the CS-race this weekend?
Outdoors they seem to prefer the 415.

looks like a full option 415 only things that i dont see are aluminum rear hubs, aluminum servo/ transponder mount and the belt guide

They both used the 415 with the old suspension.
Guess what...? Overall place 1 + 2.
Both prefer the 415 over the EVO IV and will be running the 415 at the worlds. Just spoke with them yesterday.
