Default p5xl

Hey houston i plan on buying a p5xlt i see you carry them and i was wondering what your tune service for $40 is that a small mod. Im looking to get some runtime. I did some reading and see people get some 8 minutes and above. I get 8 minutes out of .28 so im sure this 21 will be an improvment. This is for a truggy I run a hard packed clay track kinda smooth with fluff on top. I will proabably get this with in a month when i can break it in ,in proper temps easier. I only have the one jp1 pipe so i would like to keep cost down from what i read i need to get a pipe but i can use my header form the jp. If this is better to talk in pm then just send one. Thanks Rob.

houston tuned is a modification service , includes work on the piston, sleeve and crank , silicone filling is also highly recommended and i do offer a bench break in service to help you with the "fun" task of breaking engines in

just checkout all the services offered on www.houstonsengineservice.com and if you got any questions just ask , i would recommend the 2096ss pipe for a great balanced feel between power/runtime , the 9886 works great if you dont care too much about driveability as it has a violent powerband effect and crazy top speed

I love power but i think i want it controlled power i also love big blocks but sometime i dont have pit man that stay when neededmy track is 160 by 90 at i think so it might be a medium size. how much is shipping to 60051 cause im trying to get out the door for 300 right now this will be a big upgrade compared to what i have ran in the sig for price wise. So in other words it will be my test engine i kinda wanna step it up this year cause i did great last year for my first year racinging. Just not to sure if i want a 21 or a 25 but i do want to try a 21 out abd see how the diff from a 28

For anyone that is thinking of getting a motor from Monty, DON'T hesitate. He offers great advice and doesn't push you toward a product, gives you the info to make an educated decision based on the information you give him. The price is comparative with anywhere else, but you get his valuable experience. The break in service is a bargain in my book. Thank you Monty!

bench break in is 30$ which gets you past all the heat cycles and stuff , you get the engine , you can start running it but DO NOT PUT FULL RACE TUNE ON THE ENGINE until after 1000-1500cc of fuel , keep temps between 190-210 during this period and i would strongly recommend byrons gen2 race 3000 blend for final break in as it has a fair amount of castor oil in the mix for break in 30/11 blend . if you use some mostly synthetic fuels it would be a very good idea to add some lube booster or benol or klotz castor oil to the mix , at least 2 oz per gallon as much as 4 oz

full break ins are a lil more and only done on special request at my discretion

And for the temp that why im gonna wait till it just a little nicer out how.

do not use hobbico after run oil with filled cranks , you might as well go buy a bottle of marvels mystery oil anyway , same stuff

castor oil makes great after run oil , specifically byrons lube booster or u can use novarossi 1m2 or rbmods aro

odonnell is good fuel but please add castor oil for break in

Monty, how would an old mugen 1005 pipe work on a p5xlt or an x7 extreme? What type of powerband can I expect for both engines?
