Can these first ones handle a SCT 4x4?

Not exactly....

Reventon S (standard version, 45A...just like the Cirtix Club Spec but can have optional WiFi/Bluetooth connection feature and can have software update) Entry level unit...blinky software up-datable (standard with the esc)

Reventon Stock Club Race (standard version, 40A...just like the Cirtix Club Spec or Reventon S but DOES NOT have the optional WiFi/Bluetooth connection feature and CANNOT have software update) Entry level unit... ideal for handout racing (over Europe and Asia), USVTA and USGT approval pending, so does ROAR approve pending, blinky class.

Reventon R (mid level racing unit...70A, just like the SP GT2 LPF or GT2.1 Pro Stock but can have optional WiFi/Bluetooth connection feature and can have software update) Stock level racing unit can use turbo and can run mod motor up to 5.5T, 6.5T with boost...blinky software up-datable (standard with the esc).

REVENTON PRO - 140A Top of the line racing unit, just like the 2X world champ SP GT2.0. Still testing right now...expect summer time 2012 release, definitely before the WORLD and planning to defend the Championship for the 3-peat. It is the UNIT to use for all the TOP LEVEL racing and definitely the SCT 4x4 Mod class.

Price vise...very much the same as the current unit level, sticking with the acceptable and affordable price range, as always by Speed Passion.

Trackstar going to stock these Jimmy?

Cain 02-02-2012 08:00 AM

Cool thanks for the info. With the whole saddle lipo setups in the SC104x4 and ESC size limitations, the Revention and the GT2.0 Pro should be big hits.

how does speed passion motors compar to D3 was thinking of trying one everybody at my track runs D3's. I like to be deffrant. But fast

AlanHall 02-05-2012 12:12 AM

Hey guys what would happen if I tossed a 8.5t in my GT 2.1 while in blinky mod? Or would it be useless ? I don't have a trackside laptop yet to reload software . Normally we run 13.5 blinky.. but there's a chance of running open one day at the track.

Cain 02-05-2012 07:29 AM

i would think it would be like running a brushless ESC before the whole timing stuff got big.

I found that when I ran say a novak havoc on 8.5 I was about as fast as say guys running booster 10.5.

TAMAK 02-06-2012 07:25 AM

So I was running my Speed Passion GT2.0 LPF and V3 8.5tR with speed power 5000 55c battery in my DEX210 geared 81/23.

Software 205MOD
1. Forward only with Brake
2. 12% drag brake
3. 2.8V/cell
4. Level 6
5. 100%
6. 25%
7. 0%
8. 6%
9. 8 = 26.25°
10. No protection

I did not feel like it was very fast at all... The bottom end was very weak but the top end was decent. Motor temps were 95 after a 5 minute run. What could I be doing different to get more bottom end grunt? Would the GT2.0 Pro give me better initial Power?

The SP line of V3 Mod motors are smooth. Much smoother with more control than most other motors. If you like the aggressive punch of a D3 I suggest going to the V3 1cell line up. You will find the same characteristics as a D3.

For stock I suggest the MMM series.

Looks like your DRRS is too low. Go to Level 8. Also I would suggest backing the esc timing down and gearing up. Possibly to a 25. My gearing for a 7.5 V3 is 24/79 and it comes off at 120*F.

Let us know. :)

Reedy Invitation Champion Jorn Neumann used the exact software and motor and won. The only different is he is using GT2 PRO ESC. (I compared your setup to his Reedy Setup, you are exactly the same as his...).

What kinda performance difference would I feel between Pro and LPF? The power rating on the pro is much larger but its all relative to how many turns the motor is, right?

Cain 02-06-2012 08:55 AM

something to think about, it may be that what he liked as his settings are not what you like.

Drove a sponsored drivers vehicle once and he had his setup to be less punchy than what I preferred, and it worked for him he kicked the crap out of us.

So part of it could be that.

I'm looking for a 17.5 going to be running boosted and trubo.

Any would be fine though I am partial to the MMM having a bit more timing from the get go. :)
