I would seriously change your gearing before worrying about another motor.

the 7.5 is pushing around a 2wd buggy. So its not like its getting taxed or should be taxing the speed control here.

For example, I am using the Speed Passion GT2.0 LPF in a heavier SCT with no issues. stays nice and cool, especially with the fan.

I've ran SP 8.5 V3 boosted with a GT2.1 in 2wd using 323 stock with esc never getting hot.
If your speedo has 323. Ditch it and D/L 205 mod and start from there. Btw your gearing seems off. Go to 81 spur or way lower pinions.

What you need here is simply a servo extension wire. They're a couple bucks at any hobby shop and come in different lengths.

just want to ask has anyone used the +40 timing on the 21.5 v3 yet? would it cook the motor in TC 2c racing?

Also, I a thinking of getting a 17.5 v3 2c or 1c. Would the 1c be actually more powerful?

How does the 17.5v3 2c compare with other brands such as LRP and Orion?

My ESC has whatever program that came on it, so that would mean I have no idea. And as far as running the fan only my FTW body had the room for that and my Bulldog, which is faster, does not. It has been running at 160* for a while and yes it has gotten warmer in Ohio but I didn't expect it to get 30* hotter on the ESC. Please tell me what all is required to download the software, USB stuff and what nots. I am not computer savvy and all I can say is if I do this I really hope Luke, Dustin, or JP is there Saturday so I can bug them.
Part of the reason for an 8.5 is to have a little less power. While I do have some throttle control I like to jam my trigger finger as far back as possible as much as possible.
My LHS did order an 8" wire and with all the work that is planned for Saturday morning now I will more than likely just switch to that.
I am happy with SP and don't plan on going anywhere.

Thank you everybody for the help. It is all quite a bit to take in. Right now I am just going to change to the 8.5 and hope it works. I am doing this even though a saying I use quite a bit starts with hope in one hand and......... Plus I don't know if anything would show up by Friday night. And I haven't gotten the e-mail notification yet that my motor has shipped so I may not have that either. I am glad these are my problems in life and that I don't have the real ones that a lot of my friends do.

Any word when the Silver arrow combo will be out?

Which version motor? 1s or v3?

go with the v3. they are very reliable and super SMOOOOOOTH.

i will be mounting my speed passion gt2.0 pro esc in my sc10 4x4 when i get home today. then all that has to be done is solder the esc and motor together. then i can go bashing with it i cant wait.

My 8.5 has shipped but the tracking number gave me zero and the shipping date/expected arrival date are the same, today. Nick should have an 81 tooth JC spur for me. Hoping it gets here by Friday but I kinda doubt it.

I am not a sponsored driver by any means but I would say availability problems come from the fact that Speed Passion makes a great product at a lower price point and people are finding this out. I see stuff come in stock and the next day it is gone.
