Anyone? I'm guessing no since the motor limit is listed as 3.5 turn.
4 pole motor required ALOT more power to run..? What is so different about 4 pole motor..? |

I know 4x4 kills batteries.....but again, that is for LIPO, not ESC. |
from the perspective of the Speed Passion GT2.0 Pro, it seems to like it just like any other motor.
Hopefully the revention pro is the same or better. Oh, any news on a new 1/8 ESC that is smaller? |
4 pole motors do not require any special esc...they just provide more torque which in turn draws a few more amps, the r should be ok, example: sidewinder sv2 is 77amp and it comes with a 4 pole motor...it might push the r, like I know that it is good to get tekin rs when using there 4 pole (rs would be the rev pro equivalent spec wise)...do what you wish

How does changing timing on a motor effect it?
|
Reading between the lines on what Solara is saying is that the Revention pro infact should run a 4 pole sct motor just fine. However, SP has not officially approved it for 4 pole.
On paper the numbers are better than the previous pro speedo so it should be just fine. i am planning on getting one for my 4x4 sct. |

Put this on the Tamiya TRF201 thread, but thought people might want to see the new Revention R wired up and fit in a buggy. It runs smooth with great brakes with my 17.5 MMM motor.
I'm going to build up another car for Modified 2WD with the Revention Pro to test. |

I need a bit of advice from you guys.
I recently started driving 1/10 scale off road and for that i bought the ae B4.1 We run on carpet tracks exclusively. Stock class is 13.5T no timing on esc, but static timing on motor allowed. So im looking to buy a new motor and i narrowed down the choice to the v3 competition or the MMM. looking at the stats alone the MMM looks to be faster with the higher KV, but it also says in the description that it is made for on road. Please explain the pros and cons of each motor to me :) thanks |

http://imageshack.us/a/img850/5572/imagejzcj.jpg Heres my First Reventon R installed, My camera makes the truck look much dirtier than it is. Im curious as to how you guys solder these up. Im used to Tekin and find them very easy to solder as there is plenty of space on the Posts to hold your iron to transfer heat, as with these theres just not a good place to place the iron to tin the posts and then try to solder on the wires.... |
I am running the Pro in my 2x buggy. So far so good. 2 nights of pounding the dirt, very smooth and no brake noise when hitting the brakes. The only thing I don't like is the sensor plug, I like it better on the top. I like the Off/On button better than the GT2.0 though. The fan makes about a 30 degree difference in temps. Very smooth ESC.

Reinvention Pro price
Can someone tell me why the prices from Speed passion vary so much between their different warehouses?
The Australian price is $199.54 The US price is $129.99 The Worldwide Price is $180 I recently bought something from the US site and the Australian site, both items were posted from Asia?? Same address as well, which means same warehouse. The Aus dollar is worth more than the US Dollar so how can they justify a higher price posted from the same location? I want to buy a new speed control but the US site makes it really difficult and I had to send a lot of Emails to get my last purchase to go through. Anyone have any thoughts on these issues? |
Here in the UK, Schumacher Racing is the Distributor !
I've just bought my Reventon Pro ( Released Yesterday ) for £130 ( Approx $210 ) plus postage. Although this seems a high price for a top end esc, it's cheaper than the LRP, Orion's and Hobbywing V3 etc But do agree why are the prices so different !! It's all down to import duties and tax's, blame your government lol |
