you should be able to get it into blinky mode without the lcd programmer. im sure solara will chime in when he see's this. i have never personally ran in blinky mode.

Yeah I searched this thread and it was posted awhile back that you need the LCD box and pc to get the different software to get the lite to blink. If there is a way to do it without I am all ears. lol I am open to suggestions.

Not exactly because the last setting is essentially a timing setting. U need the other "pro" box and the pc to change firmware to "no timing".

+1

If you are running "Mod" firmware you have to reprogram the esc with a PC through the "pro" program box to change it to a "stock/blinky" firmware.

No....not the same.

you have to use the PC..plug in the box.. change to stock no timing.. then load that to the esc.. i just had to do it for my prostock 2.1 mine dont blink. but i have to plug the lcd box in at the track in tech so it flashes "stock/no timing"

I got some Speed passion GT2.0 pros and an LPF coming in.

i am looking for some starting settings to go with for the following vehicles on a 40 x 40 carpet track over jumps:

- SC10 2wd SCT with Novak Ballistic 10.5 motor
- T4.1 2wd Stadium truck with Novak Ballistic 10.5 motor
- SC104x4 with Tekin SCX 5.5 motor

I will be using the LPF on the SC10 2wd, and the Pros on the stadium and 4x4 SCT.

i don't need specific novak motor info, if you have say another brand that doesn't use the funky high timing like the novak, i can just subtract the timing amounts.

Also, if you have a gearing suggestion please let me know that too. From what I am understanding, people use a smaller pinion / bigger spur setup to keep torque, and the timing boost to get that high RPM, at least that is what the current brand of ESC I use has been suggested.

Forget about any timing. With those motors and the size of the track with a straight barely 40 ft. You won't need any. Your gonna have a lot of forward grip. Gear for torque and accel while keeping temps low. I would run mod 205 and just play with the physical timing on the motor and DRRS. Concentrate on NOT traction rolling.

I am actually thinking of trying the 323 or whatever its call stock software as there are sections where the punch would come in quite handy, at least that is what I am seeing with my current ESCs.

You can turn the DRRS to max then. That is your punch. If you use 323 on SC/ST in 40x40 high grip carpet track. I see high temps in the future. There isn't give on carpet like there is on dirt when it coms to traction with those heavy trucks. You will put ALOT of strain on motor. You already have ALOT of motor for the size of the track.

Cain 02-01-2012 05:36 PM

thanks, I'll give the 205 a go first.

i am actually using a motor that is less than what others run here lol. Though, that 17.5 I had previously did have a lot of punch.

just noticed that rc model http://shopping.rcmodel.hk/index.php...&filter_id=164 is showing the reverton esc's with pricing if thats the pricing we will get over in the states then these esc's are going to be killer deals cuz even with the shipping they are still good deals from hk.!!

Racecrafter 02-02-2012 07:00 AM

Those prices will be pretty close.

Cain 02-02-2012 07:04 AM

So how does the reventions that come out first rate against say the GT2.0 Pro power wise?

Can these first ones handle a SCT 4x4?
