Questions??

I found a Speed Passion Reventon S ESC/3500kv motor combo online and don't know if this would be a good match in my Dominus 1/10 4x4 SCT. I'm looking to convert this to a brushless system.

Thanks for your help,
Scott

I would prefer the REVENTON R combo with V3 competition and run sensored setting over the sensorless setting...afterall 4x4 SCT is still alittle bit big and need some extra power.

if the dominus is similar in weight to say an SC10 4x4, you probably would want the Speed Passion GT2.0 Pro I am thinking. ESC is amazing, my daughter uses one on her 4x4 SCT with a 550 4 pole motor, the hobbywing one.

I would give that ESC a look personally, and you probably could then get away with a regular 540 motor with a high torque rotor I am thinking.

Default Motor for SC10.2 for mod

I just purchased a SC10.2 to run in mod class and/or stock class with timing and boost. Thinking about a 10.5 motor for mod and 17.5 for stock. I have a new SP Revention Pro esc for it and deciding on a motor. Any recommendations?

I think either of those will be fine in my opinion. I personally liked 8.5 for our mod class here.

what's the difference between the mmm motors and the v3? Also, is 8.5 recommended for mod SCT? I was guessing on 10.5

Going to run a 17.5 open class with timing and boost allowed. I ran a 17.5 Retech in the past and a few guys I know run the D3.5. I am interested in trying the SP 17.5 MMM motor. Does anyone have any comparison between the SP 17.5MMM and a Revtech 17.5?

The mmm 17.5 motor is a very good motor! I was running the Tekin gen 2 17.5 which I believe is one of the best 17.5 motors out there next to the trinity kill shot! And the mmm is handling itself just fine! I run 72 33 spur and pinion with a drive tran ratio of 2.6! Turn the timing to 20 degrees and you will have a rocket on your hands!

Has anyone had the magnet come off of the rotor shaft?

This is 7.5R 3.0 motor I got in a Reventon Pro combo from a popular vendor online.

I told someone who also runs SP offroad and they told me based on the number stamped on the motor, the rotor will be replaced by SP because this was happening for a particular batch.

I have emailed SP North America support but haven't heard back in a while.

Just wondering if anyone else has had to go through this.
