I hope its just a funky wire....
I had the same issue with my Reventon Pro (just different color leds) . When I turned on the esc the leds were normal. After driving the car, they would flash either alternately or together but the esc still functioned normally. I changed the sensor wire, and everything was all good after that.

The ESC will calibrate then switch off as the maunual states.
When the ESC is switched back on and I try the throttle there is nothing and the ESC switches off.

Any ideas?? Thanks
Please reverse your Channel 2 on your radio and recalibrate it with the ESC again....if your radio channel 2 is in normal position, changed to reverse. If it is in reverse position change to normal....1 of the position will work.

Can't remember if anyone has done it or not but I'll ask.

(Cain you might be the best one for this)

Has anyone tried the older ESCs (GT 2.0, 2.1) in larger 8th scale formats?

I know there was some recent discussion about the followup to the SA ESC and since many folks are running 4pole motors in SCs, many are switching to the 8th scale ESCs and sticking to 10th scale motors.

Has anyone successfully run 10th scale Electronics in an 8th scale on 2-3s?

Our indoor track is small and one thought was using an SC style setup in an 8th scale buggy class. limit it to 3s instead of 4 just to make it controllable etc.
(Ultimately, I will probably buy an 8th scale system, but I was looking for alternatives.)

Thoughts?

In 4x4 SCT, The Speed Passion GT2.0 Pro works well with 4 Pole 540 Motors, 2 Pole 550 Motors. It can also work with 4 Pole 550 Motors like the one from Hobbywing and Tekin however you need to really limit DRRS to say 2 or 3 max from what I am seeing and watch your gearing and temps.

This was using a standard Tekno SCT410.

My daughters SCT410 is equipped currently with a Speed Passion GT2.0 Pro with the Hobbywing motor, and I use a Viper VTX8 with the hobbywing motor. I have more power for sure as its a 1/8 ESC, but for her it ran reliably.

Previously that was the same setup I was using.

Now if you are setting up a "lite" 1/8 buggy, I think you could run the GT2.0 Pro with say a 540 4 pole motor for sure. Using the conversion from Tekno for an SCT410 to turn it into a buggy, maybe going lighter on chassis and other components could work very well, just have to make sure getting adequat ventilation in my opinion.

On 3S not sure, I would think with a proper motor on 3S, the higher voltage lower Kv combo is supposed to be easier on electronics.

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing a 1/8 "lite" class form but I think it would overtake 1/10 wheelers unless they really up the durability on those.

Took the overall win in expert 17.5 buggy at the winter takes all race at traction hobbies today. Using a Reventon pro esc and a speed passion 17.5 with 12 degrees of timing. I have been using this combo for about year and is clearly the best I have used and is very fast.

Weight shouldn't be an issue. There are tons of racers using Speed Passion with every type of buggy.

Quick question I have a MMM 17.5 in my Durango DEX210 (2wd Buggy)with 20deg of timing and it fly's very fast motor.

Was looking at grabbing another MMM for my Durango Dex410 (4wd Buggy) but noticed the V3 comp motor's and notice they are 2700kv vs 2900kv on the MMM and only does +10deg timing.

How much slower would the V3 comp be vs the MMM? Is the slightly lower KV going to give me more torque? Obviously 4wd has more load and it weighs 100g more than my 2wd.

Your 4wd class is 17.5?? You can alter timing by changing the sensor boards inside the motor on the MMM and V3.

The V3.0 modifieds are very popukar in wheeler. I've haven't heard of tracks running a blinky wheeler clsss. How big is your track?

I was told by Howard that the MMM series is more for Onroad and the V3 series are offroad applications.

It depends on the track, but most folk here run 6.5 or so in 4wd buggy. I've heard of blinky 10.5 or 13.5 being used in 4wd buggy.

Yeah in the land of Australia we have a stock 17.5(blinky) class for 2wd and 4wd. We also have mod for both but they always have very few numbers.

The track is a 1/10-1/8 track so fairly big I run 5.1 and 5.5 final drive ratios in the 2wd and 4wd and they just top out before the end of the main straightf just to give an idea of the size

Good to know about the timing board I actually have a mmm 10.5 spare I might use that timing board

I might grab a v3 pro then
