Picked up a losi 2.0e and went with a silverarrow 2 and a blaze 2450. Went to shake down at the track last night and man... Wow this thing is stupid fast and temps were good. ESC was under 100and motor was 160° after a long run. Have not even messed with settings yet but couldn't imagine any more I could want.

this morning i took ebuggy out front to show roomate. out in the road with 7k in the center diff, rolling on the throttle would stand it up on the wing... I have never thought that would be possible in a 8th scale and a center diff! Very impresses with motor and esc!

That's the combo I run also. It is awesome. You have to be careful, you can easily over jump with that motor. I also have the 2100. Once I found the right gearing, it is fast also.

Anyone familiar with this ESC?

I think is a citrix, it has basic function, not boos, but it should be able to change the punch, go look at the citrix manual

Default Reventon Pro safe ESC temp?

Running a Reventon Pro with an 8.5 in 2wd buggy.

After a full pack of practice, motor comes off at 140F, ESC is at 140F too.

Stock0 firmware, no fan on the motor, no vents in the body.

I put the fan on, ESC temp is 80F.

The fan is very tall and touches the body, so I'd rather not run the fan. They never seem to last in off-road anyway.

What's a safe maximum temperature for the ESC? 140F seems way too hot for my liking.

Get a low profile fan or mount the fan beside the esc and blow through it.

I have been running one, they are fine. For $39 they are ok. I prefer reedy motors myself, but nothing really wrong with the SP motors if your on a budget.

Most of our guys are not running fans in 2WD buggy. This includes the sponsored and Pro guys. 140F is still considered normal in terms of a heat range.

They work very well. Speed Passion has won several world championships in offroad. There are many drivers on this forum who are running Speed Passion motors in the various offroad classes with success.
