2wd mod SC with 8.5. I wouldn't mind having the boost features instead of just adding timing, but if Mod2 is that much smoother than Stock1 I'd rather have that.

I use mod2 in my 4 wheel buggy. It works awesome. My SP7.5 is like a misle down the straight. It will run over the 6.5's. I feel you don't need boost. Our straight is around 110' to 120'. I have the motor set at 5 degrees and speedo timing at 26.5. Gearing 81/20 on my b44.2.

I was trying to ask about this a few pages back but didnt see anything. I was thinking with stock1 you could set it to come out of the turn softer and then build up as your moving to help with low traction or having less power while hitting the infield and then hit WOT for the long section that you could use it. Or maybe im not understanding

The thing is....OFF ROAD just does not utilize the BOOST function like it designed for....ON ROAD. It kinda work with 4x4 SCT just because that thing is so big and motor size can use up those extra power. Running 4wd Buggy or 2WD buggy with boost is just a total waste of power...and unless you have a PERFECT setting for that specific track, otherwise, the Mod1 or Mod2 are alot easier for these 2 buggies and you just have to concentrate on what turn of motor and gearing to run...without worrying about WHEN you need to timing, at what stage, and at what time and at what level.....

You need to give the MOD2 software a try...with 7.5/8.5 motor. If that software and motor combination does not meet your competition out there, you need to sell our products and get something else....really.

We have factory drivers all over the world running this software and motor combination since...2009. And they can use the boost software, but they tried it, and never have a better lap time or control compare to the Mod2 software. They don't even change much on the software setting either, if the track is bigger, they usually gear up or get a faster turn motor...thats it.

thanks for the reply....i am trying our new 64bit computer at work and i'm having trouble getting the new software to run? it's asking for usernames etc to locate a driver? i am not a computer genius and i wish this could be alot simpler!

could it have something to do with our security on our system?

You probably do not have Administrative rights on your work computer. If that is the case it will not load the software or driver.

You could run Windows on your Apple computer using Boot Camp or other software, but that might be more complicated to setup and I'm not sure if using that method via an Apple works when setting up the SP software.

Yes.

What application are you wanting to run the option capacitor? There were a ton of fast guys running the Reventons at LHR this weekend at the state race using Mod and 17.5 motors in all classes. I was pitting with Howard and from what I saw, no one used/needed the optional capacitor.

Reventon Pro running the latest software and a Tekin Gen 2 17.5. Temp and voltage protection were off. The problem has been intermittent. Could to high of a drrs setting on a low C rating pack cause this?
