Nothing about the BLAZE motor, it is still being made, no word about the REVENTON EVO8 yet....and it is on the schedule to find out how to get the PRO to work on the 4 poles motor.

I have just purchest my Reventon Pro ESC which comes with a V3.0 5.5 motor.
I installed it all into my cat SX3, I turned everything on and and went through setting up the throttle range/calibration. when I turned the ESC back on I had steering but no Throttle? after scratching my head I thought maybe If i update the LCD software V2.6 and then try updating the ESC to MOD1 then it might work, (batteries not connected) Its started to update but then came up Failed.
Now my computer does not connect to my ESC (windows 7) and my LCD box does not work with the LCD?
I am running a Hobbywing 120A in my cougar SV2 which I have no problems with at all.
Please could somebody tell me what I am doing wrong?

I have to ask: What happened to the quality of speedpassion products? I've purchased 3 separate items; Reventon Pro, 7.5 motor, and a wireless module. All 3 are/were defective out of the box.
I realize that every manufacture has issues like this, but it certainly seems like Speedpassion is having more than what the average would be.
I know I can send the product back to get repaired/replaced, but it's just getting old now. Can anyone there shed some light on what is causing the apparent lack of quality control? New manufacture? It would really help to know what was going on because as it stands now I am too apprehensive to purchase any more products from Speedpassion based on my 100% failure rate of 3 individual orders placed at different times.
As soon as I opened the wireless module you could smell burnt electronics and of course it wouldn't operate when plugged in, which was no surprise. The 7.5 is just dead, not sure what happened there, but I've tried it on 3 known good configurations with no results. The Reventon was dead out of the box, too, but I sent it in to be replaced and have a working model now.
Thanks for any information you might be able to provide on what's going on here....

my reventon pro in a b44.1 with a 8.5 today for the 1st time. It was silky smooth and really only got warm after a 10 min main. Plan on getting a 6.5 so i can put the 8.5 back in my 2wd in the future. so far i am liking the esc for sure

What is happening is SpeedPassion is now doing ALL of the Design AND manufacturing of their products and they seem to be going threw some growing pains. We still will all get the awesome customer service they offer and first class products just have to wait out the bugs of their new products. They are pushing limits never seen before with the Wifi/Bluetooth thing and I commend them for it and with the support, the pricing, the awesome products, and the drive to put out FRESH products make them a great company worth sticking with, everyone had minor bugs to work out when they first came to market, luckily we are getting things half price compared to most with features not found anywhere. Its up to you if its worth it but I say HECK YES. Also both of my Reventon R's have been running great and been updated smoothly since the day I opened the box.
