+1..... you wont find a smoother speed controller out there,,,if you find that your on a large track that can take the extra power, purchase a yellow timing board, (but if you do, be very conserative with the timing, and watch your temps)

Cool info. for 4x4 SCT I have been using boost with the RPM based settings, 5 degrees max with a 4 pole motor and get great power. may switch or couple this with Turbo to get even more top speed.

Additional tip: The turbo slope is how aggressively the turbo comes in. And the lower settings it is smoother and at the higher settings and "fastest" it kicks in alot quicker and in buggy can result in some mid-straightaway wheelies.

Thanks for the recommendations on the Revention pro.
Had a look at the manual and it states that it is suitable for down to 4 Nimh cells (4.8v) but it also says that if it is used with voltages below 6v, damage may occur. Im planning to use this ESC (if I decide to get it) with some older 6 cell packs i have (to begin with). I dont want to kill the speedy simply because i used an old pack.

now the esc wont power up,when i try to connect lcd to esc and battery.i get the lcd to show speed passion for a second them powers off.motor kicks on at the same time.
i have 3 other rev pro's.tried all the other cards, cables with no luck.

We have had our Reventon R for about 2 months and are very pleased with it. Early this week we updated the speedo firmware and LED Box software without any problems to version 21. But now we can't calibrate the throttle and brake. Holding the button down and turning on results in rapid beeping sounds. Car still runs fine but would like to be able to calibrate if needed. Tried re-installing the software - any ideas?

Have you tried 2 pole motors? If I update o the Rev Pro in my 4wd and Rev R in my 2wd, I might swap the GT2.0 to my borrowed SC10 4x4 with a 5.5 2 pole.
