Is this with the 2nd sensor wire disconnected?

With all wires connected

Interesting. I'll have to try hooking it back up & backing off the timing on the can. Maybe that is the issue, not a temp sensor in the motor. I'll let you know what I find.

Stock Reventon Pro Setup request:

Looking for a good blinky setup for a Reventon Pro in a B4.2. Revtech 17.5/standard rotor, geared 72/34.

Will any firmware blink if all esc timing is off? Coming from an RS Pro...it has a weird low-mid hit that I couldn't tune out with gearing or can timing.

Strange.

Totally random, what is your radio setting? I noticed that if I had anything other than a linear curve, it would also do strange things when i ran the GT 2.0 or LPF ESC. Waiting for a car to show up on Mon before I test the new REV S. in it.

This is in a 4x4 SCT

I run a RX8 looking for a smoother ESC. I was going to get a GT2.0, but maybe a Revention Pro would be the better option. Anyone run these in their trucks?

Only Stock0 will blink.

question...on average how long does it take for a SP rep to get back to you by email when you send in an item for repair?
I have send a few emails to them with my RMA# and still have not heard back from anyone..
I know my item is there as I tracked it online..:(

They modified the layout of my track today, so I stopped off to run a pack & try it out. I also reconnected the sensor wire & took most of the timing out of my lrp (1 dot). It did exactly the same. Ran great, lacking power but smooth, for about 5 minutes & thermaled:flaming:. Motor was @ 108* & the ESC was @ 97* (per temp gun, not the card). I pulled the sensor wire & ran sensor less for the rest of the pack. The motor got to 130* & the ESC to 120* (again by temp gun, not card). It was actually smoother sensor less than w/ the 2nd wire only out, but it still clogged @ low speed & from a stop. I'm going to see if I can borrow a motor that is not an lrp, tekin, or viper & give that a try tomorrow. It's not looking good for me continuing to run an lrp motor though:(.

Got my Reventon Pro 13.5r combo kit yesterday and to be honest I wasn't that impressed by its built quality. IMHO it looks cheaper than an HW Ezrun, which as entry level goes is pretty solid. I'd expected a bit more from the Reventon-series. Hopefully it's performance won't disappoint!

Seriously? I have 2 and feel the quality is very good. I've had Tekin, Novak, LRP and feel this is better that all of them. What exactly was wrong with it

Thank you, do u think it would be ok for a heavier truck like the Tekno?

In your opinion is it worth switching from a RX8? I happy with the RX8, but always looking to improve.

Mainly the plastic base.

The plastic quality and molding looks inferior to what I am used to. Not hopeless, just not as good or clean.

I also have HW, Novak, Castle and Teking entry, mid and high level ESCs to compare with.

But...if it runs as expected, I'll ignore the base

I'd keep the RX8, great ESC. :spidey:
