I'm not sure the 10.5 would have enough bottom end for jumps in a 4wheel. I think you oUlf have to be very smooth of a driver with a 10.5 to get fast lap times. You would have to give it a try. I run a v3 10.5 with 20 degrees of timing (red board) mod1 firmware, 26.5 timing in the speedo. 32/78 gearing. Plenty of punch for the jumps and speed is awesome on the straight. Keeps up with the 8.5's.

I'm running this http://www.kyoshoamerica.com/Vantage...5_p_10218.html and I think my problem is the motor. It lacks the adjustable timing plate. partly why I want to go SP motors.

From what I have experienced going from tekin's 550 2 Pole motor to there 540 4 Pole motor, similar Kv's, the 4 Pole felt like it had a lot more torque than the 550 2 Pole. it ran slightly cooler as well from what I can tell.
From what I have been reading from people who have the 550 4 Pole motors from other brands, they run cool and with even more power than the 550 2 Pole and 540 4 poles.
The SP GT2.0 Pro does excellent with the Tekin Pro4 motors. What about the reventon pro makes it so it doesn't work with them?
Are there plans for a Speed Passion ESC that can handle these motors and maybe double as an upgrade to the Silver Arrow V2, similar to how the Tekin RX8 can handle both areas with a somewhat reasonable size?

Yup, my understanding as well. Plus a 4 pole 540 can be much lighter than a 2 pole 550 with similar power. I think someone should try testing the new reventon pro in blinky mode with a 4 pole motor. I have read on some other manufacturers threads that have had issues with 4 pole motors, when the esc was put into blinky mode they ran fine. I'm assuming the reventon pro can run in blinky?
On the GT2.0 Pros, I was using the stock profile initially and just turning down whatever boost features I didn't want. Then, added in about 5 degrees of turbo for top end speed. Worked excellent and temps were low. I did put in the blinky to try, and it worked, just was not as powerful of course as the stock profile. I am going to use the Mod profile though from now on so its a bit safer than the stock one.
For the Reventon test, I just need to know if it will burn up anything before I try it.

Has anyone seen any brownout issues with their Silver Arrow ESC/Savox combos? I know many others have issues with the savox servos with other ESC's. I got a SAII for my DEX408 and now need a servo. I run Savox servo's in all my other trucks (SCTE with a RX8 / SC10 with a Brushless Hobbies 80A) so I want to stick with Savox for this truck. Just wondering if I'm going to have any brownout issues

Motor was used with boost software...Reventon PRO STOCK1....5 minutes racing, 160*, no fans on motor. Track is about 125 x 275. Indoor hard clay.
We will do more hard testing this weekend....
Silver Arrow is for 3-4 cells use....for 1/8th E buggy, no reason to use that ESC on 2S powered SCT 4x4.
