if you say the connections are fine and cables are good the only thing you can do now is contact speed passion customer service for rma if its still under warranty to have replaced.

I need some help with my new Reventon Pro. I'm hitting the temp limit on the esc after about 5 minutes. It's installed in a SC10 4x4 with a Tekin SC4x4 5.5, 62 spur, 13 pinion, and Thunder Power 40c 5400maH saddle packs. The esc settings are 7.5 timing, no drag brake, and the lowest voltage cutoff 2.? It has the mod1 v19 firmware on it currently as I have not been able to upload the driver for the new firmware.
I was under the impression that these esc's could handle the 550 motors. Is this not the case? Thanks.

For those running the SC104x4 out there...
I'm swapping out my HW 120A ESC and I want to use my GT2.0 LPF ESC. I am using a 5.5 2pole motor. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm retiring my B4.1 and want to use the ESC from it in my SC104x4. Need some good setup advice.

Running that motor on a GT2.0 Pro ESC, I didn't like any timing on it on a tighter indoor track. I found it was better to use say turbo timing (the timing at WOT) on it and the 540 4 pole I went too, with the 2 pole being able to take more timing.
Try removing all timing settings or even going to a blinky setup on the ESC. Then, check your gearing based on where you are topping out down the longest straight. If its really early and you are just always at high to wide open on the throttle around the track, you may need to adjust your gearing. The motors though seem to NOT like a lot of gearing adjustment, and the SC10 4x4 seems to be a bit more strain on motors than what I am seeing with my Tekno SCT410. I would definitely run a fan setup on it. I use the integy heatsink and fan combo. works well.
I would up the cutoff voltage personally as well, you will get longer life out of your batteries and better runtime. You keep dropping them down to a very low cutoff and you will probably start to see drops in runtime. 3.3V or even 3.4V per cell is what i used on the 5200mah 50C promatch batteries I was using. The new IP 6000mah 80C ones are not badly priced on their site.
Good luck.

The track is small 40x80. The straight on the current layout is so short I never hit top speed before I have to slow it down into the sweeper.
I'll try it without the timing and then lower gear.
I usually run 3.2 cutoff. I turned it down to make sure it was the esc temp cutoff and not the voltage. Good advice though for prolonging battery life.
I have the Tekno as well. The drive train feels a little more free than the belt driven SC10 4x4. Not a bad 4x4 but I can turn inside it with the SC10 4x4 all day. I have a big race this weekend and I've decided to stick with what I know. Later I'll be tunning the SCT410.

No worries, what you are saying reminds me of my initial experience, the sc10 4x4 has like hyper steering, probably why they came up with that new steering rack in the FT to calm it a bit lol. I think I can get the SCT410 to steer as well, if not better in comparison, just need to work on setup but I agree with a big race its not a bad idea to give what you know a go till you feel more comfortable.
I will say this, even though the SC10 4x4 felt like it has more steering currently in my experience with my heavily modified SC10 4x4 when I had it, I could drive the sct410 more consistently fast.

BLUETOOTH help needed.
bought and installed one. It worked for a couple changes then stopped when i mounted it in the car. When it is plugged in i get no drive to the motor. However I will retain steering.
When i connect to the phone it will connect but i am unable to make changes then it will say it can not connect.
I have tried it on 3 different reventon pros and it is the same on all of them. I have gone threw the setup mode with it several times and it will not work properly.
Is there something that I am doing wrong? anything that i may be missing in setup or trouble shooting?

Yes, I think you and Cain are right. I raced the 2wd tonight and I had to gear down 2 teeth on the pinion. The track is small to begin with but the current layout requires a lot of on and off power. I will find out in a couple of days. Thanks for the input. Very helpful.
