you dont need your pc to adjust esc settings. thats what the program card is for. but to download different software, for ex. switching to blinky mode to regular mode u will need the program card and pc together. both the led and lcd box(lcd is nicer due to the big screen and no reading numbers, but both work the same basically. the RP comes with the nice one) can do this. once u download the software just take your little card with you to make any esc adjustments.

1. download software from SP website
2. hook up card to esc and pc
3. click whatever software u wanna run from the computer screen
4. then the card transfers the new software to the esc....your ready to go!

i believe there's some nice videos floating around here somewhere demonstrating how to do it also. maybe someone can repost the video.

The Reventon R brakes are a lot stronger than my Novak. My brothers stadium truck with boost on an 8.5 works awesome (Reventon R)

If you want to change the esc software you have to use the lcd programmer and update the esc via a software download off the cpu using the lcd programmer.

You should have a disc and usb cable. But you may be able to download the pc program if you dont have the disc. Im not certain.

for the GT2.0 series you need that LCD Programmer box to do the firmware updates. Unofficially people have had success using the hobbywing box once you flash its software (the actual box) to use Speed Passion software. I use this box, however, this is not supported by Speed passion, just an FYI.

As for what software to use, what is this going in and what motor?
