Hi Guys,

So it seems you all still running the older model 2.0 version?

So I'm guessing with no one saying they run this model
SPEXT98802SCB Speed Passion GT V2.1 Brushless ESC Pro Stock Edition

That it won't be any good for 4wd??

Just I got the chance to buy one don't want to be buying old model if this will do the job too.

It's let down on the Speed Passion website tbh as it doesn't really tell you what's good for offroad or onroad, with the likes of LRP & many other Manf. do.

Thanks

The 2.1 prostock will work for 4wd just fine. As long as you stay within the motor limits.

On road or off road doesn't change anything. the ESC will work for both same as any other brand. It still has a motor hooked to it the same way. the 2.1 prostock has the same guts as the 2.0 LPF from what I was told. It just has a re-designed case with the lower profile heatsink to fit under low bodies.

the 2.0 pro is the model that goes down to a much lower number of turns motor. 2.5T I think. If you put a fan on the 2.0 LPF or the 2.1 prostock and run a 7.5 or 8.5 motor you should have no problems.

The GT Pro is the top dog and can handle down to 3.5t. You can use the 2.1 Pro down to a 5.0t motor. Neither one obsolete as both can do the same job. I have one of each.

Thanks Guys so you all tend to run the older model 2.0 than the 2.1 7 it's just the casing etc that has changed.

I will only be running 6.5t motor anyways won't be going any lower I couldn't drive the car lol.

All our ESC inventory in US is sold out (thank you)...but there are small quantities of ESC available from our oversea HK warehouse...if you checkout the website, there are 2 inventories of each products...1 with the US flag, 1 with the EARTH symbol, that one is our HK inventory and they are still available...just it will be using higher shipping cost because it is ship from HK.

Just trying to provide another option....

Well got my SPEXT98802SCB Speed Passion GT V2.1 Brushless ESC Pro Stock Edition

Today well impressed never had SP before first impression pretty good.

So anyways I'm thinking I will need to change the software setting won't i as I will be running this on SP 6.5t V3 motor.

Any ideas what be good starting point or just use the same settings as you would with the 2.0 version setups?

Your speedo would of come shipped with boost software. Yes I would change it to mod 205 to start. You can do this with the LCD card if you picked that up.
