no I mean the PC-link for connecting to a laptop or PC.

When all else fails I always reload the firmware. I'm not sure where else to go from here. The button is obviously working, because it turns on. For whatever reason it's not getting you to calibration mode.

Let me ask you, when you have everything off, and you press and hold the power button does the ESC cycle on into normal operating mode while you are holding the button?

What LED's are you seeing when you press and hold the power button when the ESC is off?

Wildcat1971 12-04-2013 06:26 PM

ok, I would try to reflash the esc and try again. If you have another radio/receiver I would try that also. if none of that works, I would try to rma it.

And when I power on and hold the button down it ends up just doing nothing when I let go, just the P light is on and I have to unplug to turn off

Graham11 12-04-2013 06:29 PM

What is reflashibg?

Just reloading the firmware.

That's weird man I'm sorry you're having trouble with it. Is it a new unit? I'd come by and take a look but PA is a long way off from AZ. ;)

It sounds like it's not recognizing your radio is there. What receiver/radio are you using? Radio is on while you're trying to calibrate right?

Its not new, it worked fine in my other car, would wiring or a diff motor cause it? I also switched from Spektrum to Futaba and changed motor to d3.5 instead of Viper

Would wiring or anything cause it? I also changed from Spektrum to Futaba and motor to d3.5, it worked fine in my other car, now it does do anything except servo works when power on.

See what you're describing sounds like a radio issue because it wont go into calibration mode unless the radio is on. When you turn it on with radio on do you have control? Everything is bound correctly? Correct model, etc

Graham11 12-04-2013 06:45 PM

W radio on I can only steer, no motor. Its Futaba and I've used the same RX and trans before?

which firmware are you running. I had a similar issue with the a30 firmware. I upgraded to the a55 and it went away. Can you enter calibration mode with your old radio?

Try everything again in this order just to be safe Graham.

1. unplug battery from ESC
2. Turn on radio (be sure on correct model, etc.)
3. Plug in ESC
4. Press and hold power button atleast 5 seconds.

Might be able to get it to go, just by starting over like that.

Don't have old radio, I don't think I have the cord to plug into my computer?
