Ok...I have a VTX10 in my 10th buggy and SC10 and think they are great in both...

My question to everyone is has anyone changed the brake setting from 80% in settings or does everyone leave it there?

I turn it all the way up. Then control it from my controller.

+1 Brakes are so specific to the conditions that I have found myself adjusting them for each qualifier.

Guys, anyone know the mod motor limit on a VTX1?

EDIT: Got the answer 6.5/no boost on 2s. 3.5 on 1s

Partnership to offer customers and team drivers good products and expand the volume of sales for both companies. Just another small thing that Nick and the guys try to do to help all of us racers!

so the Viper drivers will be sponsored by protek now? Like the way AE drivers also ran LRP in their partnership?

No Viper does not offer any sponsorship or discount on ProTek items. We simply sell items that we think will help racers get on the track quicker.

nikos2002:

Any estimate on when a new software version will be released so we can shut off our ESCs regardless of what the VTX8 is detecting as neutral?

Whats up also with the magazines still not posting the correct specs for the VTX8 ESC as far as the BEC goes? Is it not recommended to go beyond 7V "officially" or is it something else? Just seems like an area of a missed opportunity to show you have the highest BEC rating possible.

Pulled the Speed Passion ESC from my daughters Tekno SCT410, so its ready to have a Viper unit installed.

Cain -
The high majority can shut their VTX8's down with no issues. If the speed control is detecting a signal that varies from neutral, its not the esc that causes that - its the radio - more specifically the model on that radio. I use Futaba, Spektrum and Airtronics radios for my racing the testing products. I have one model on my Futaba 4pks that this occurs. But when I move the throttle trim 4 clicks positive and re-calibrate. No issues. Only if I want the throttle trim to be zero. Each model within your radio will send out a slightly different signal, you can test this with our ProGauge.

As for the ad -- first they are sent to print several months before they are published. Plus we work with someone to create the ads and to pay for fixing that misprint, wouldn't have been worth it. I think that ad will only run one more time in a magazine, we have a new one on the way.

I was have that issue with neutral a lot. After several months, I realized I had the fail safes set, so it would NEVER be in neutral with the radio off, since I had it set to brake is signal was lost.
