I have not had any problems with the fans either. I think the cf brace across the fan on the vtx8 really helps with the longevity.

I've had some big air in my E8. And raced on some dusty tracks. Fan is still kicking strong. I think Billy nailed it with the brace. Helps a ton.

Ok, so no info on fan swapping, thanks.

I asked about these new capacitor kits, what are the advantages/changes for the VTX8?

what does a cap do? well it stores power and acts like a buffer. It can make the esc work a little less as hard and thus run cooler. If your experience dips on power under heavy loads it can smooth that out.

I know and understand that, I am his wondering what the deal is with supposed cap kits? Things seem fine, what are they meant to achieve over what we have now.

Does any screw the VTX8 using the screw hole template?
Does it void the warranty removing the 4 screws on the bottom of the case to use the template that was included with the ESC?

????? Fan swapping? The part I listed is the fan for the VTX8, if a replacement was needed. Sorry don't understand that question.

New capacitor kits. The capacitors help to store energy so when you pull the throttle it releases an extra amount and provides more punch. If you ever had a jump right after a turn and had issues clearing it --this would help that situation.

Its my understanding that some 1/8 kits provide for this - so I cant say exactly what screw. My thought would be what you have around.

The cases are sealed with epoxy, even though they screw together. So its not that easy to take off - I would try it - I just did -- couldn't get it off.

If you follow the template, there are openings in the board, obviously you won't be using 10mm long screws or drill hole - just enough to go through the lower plate.

6VSPFAN003 asked about parts needed to swap to a different fan, which is the information I thought was being pm'd.

I think my caps are fine, thanks for the info.

Well....I got tired of the backorder for a Teking RX8 Gen2 and ordered a Viper VTX8 from A-Main for my SC8.2FT. After I checked out my buddy's VTX8 I had to get one for myself, cant wait to get it!
