I have a copperhead with a 550 can in my 4x4. I'm thinking of moving to a vtx8 and a sensored 550 and using the copperhead in my 2wd. Is it possible to buy the 540 can copperhead motors without the esc?

contact [email protected] and tell them you are looking to by a VX4.39 motor -- its the 2wd motor for the copperhead. Only thing you would need to do is put the bigger bullet connectors on the motor leads (3900 motor comes with smaller bullets).

Thumbs up Viper RC . General Comment

Hi Viper ,
I have been racing for a while now, and first purchased a VST 10 and a 17.5 motor about 12 months ago for a t4.1 . It was a great combo until I crossed the battery wires over and killed it, my fault, but the customer service was amazing. l live in Australia and your assistance and help to get me back on the track quickly was greatly appreciated.
l have since bought a VSTIOR for my 44. 1, and my sons B4. 1. All have been great. l did experience an issue with one of the VST10 R 'S , again your service was excellent . l have now purchased 2x Copperhead esc's + 2x 5100 4 pole motors for our new SCTE-2 's .
EXCELLENT Service and products . ✓

Just curious will the Copperhead R have any issues running a 4 pole 540 like a pro-4? Or another brand's 550 can motor?

I just installed a Toro 4 pole 4600kv(Tenshock Clone from what I'm told) and just wanted to make sure it was good to go and what if any custom settings I should start with on the progauge. Is there a reset system function to put the esc in factory stock mode?

Thanks!

Now....just waiting for Viper to release some 1/8 scale motors so I can switch that out too. For now I'll be running a Tekin 1900Kv on 4s.

I also picked up a Viper VTX10R / VST 7.5 combo for my SC10.2

Great to hear that support for Australian customers is so good. I just hope I'll never need it!

Sorry, I don't know that motor either. The Copperhead R will run the 540 as well, maybe start on Profile 3 just to see how it reacts. There is not a reset, but the instruction manual (you can find it on our website, if you don't have the one from the box), shows all the default settings for the different profiles.

I have a progauge for trackside tuning so I think I will be able to figure it out pretty quickly. I will start with a moderate tune and go from there with gearing and timing.

Thanks

ran a large pro series race this week end and made the show but i had some problems a couple of times. power to my motor/esc stopped during a race briefly. once on a hard hit then again in the A main for like 20 seconds. the whole time i had power to servo so i dont think its a brown out. gonna go through the truck and check for loose plugs etc but was wondering if anyone here had similar problems. i also dont think it was a thermal as a friend picked up my truck during the race that it stopped in and said he could easily touch the motor and esc. he set it down and it worked again..

probably had a voltage spike from the hard hit. these 4 pole motors we all use now a days put a big strain on the system and it can happen. Sometimes lowering settings like Punch, battery type (how old it is), motor efficiency - are all things that can help contribute it that happening. If it was a more series issue it would happen constantly - like every jump.

Default Sensor Wire

What length of Sensor Wire comes with the motors. I would like to buy a couple spares to carry in my box. I assume they are 200mm.
