Here's goes my first post on rctech. I am recently bringing my Losi XXX-T MF back to life and I installed the Viper VTX10 and VST 8.5 into it. The truck runs great but I have no clue what settings I should be running timing/boost/break etc. so I am running stock setup for now. The truck is currently geared 86/21. I love that the Viper VTX10 has all the bells and whistles I just need some help figuring them out. Can anyone help me out with a base setup to get me started? The Losi XXX-T is a 2wd stadium truck. The track a run at is packed clay and I would say medium in size.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Throttle Punch 100%
Throttle Frequency 16,000 hz
Brake Freq 12,000 hz
No boost and no timing (leave in Race Blinky mode)
Drag brake 10%
Dynamic Brake Strength 0%
Motor temp cutoff: Disable
ESC Temp cutoff: 220*
Voltage Cut-off: Lowest Voltage Setting
Keep checking temps of the motor and esc after 5 minute intervals. It shouldnt exceed 160* for both. Ideal temps should be within 120-150 range
I hope this helps

hey guys
are there any plans for a crawler based system in the future?
or would say the vtx10 and a 17.5T or 21.5T with the 12.8mm rotor be the equivalent to a crawler based system?
id prefer to get all my speedos and motors under one name.

VTX10R or Black Edition VTX10R
In the Durango 4wd buggy, I might go with the regular 10R, because the cap board installed on top of the esc, might save you some room in a tight fit chassis.

Nice!!! Like to hear it.
In the last two weeks we have really seen how versatile our stuff can be. Josh Cyrul TQ's and wins WGT 10.5, Mark Smyka finishes 2nd in 17.5 1/12 at IIC, Travis Amzecua TQ's Pro 4 (4wd SC) at Reedy Truck race, Multiple drivers in A Mains at J Concepts NE Champs in MA (2wd 17.5, 4wd Mod, 2wd Mod). Different types of racing, different requirements - Viper was in the mix, giving drivers what they needed to perform.

I have been running Tekins in all my offroad 1/10 scale, just ordered a VTX10 sensored brushless system with VST8.5 (6VSVT10003), looking forward to giving Viper a try after all the positive things I've read. The new system will be going in my 22
